Covid-19 vaccinations have been approved by the FDA and CDC for children
aged 12 and older (Pfizer). The Biloxi Public School District will offer a
Vaccination Fair during the summer months prior to the 2021-2022 school
year. This fair will include both doses of the Pfizer vaccine, allowing
secondary aged students to be fully vaccinated prior to the beginning of the
2021-2022 school year. Would you take advantage of this opportunity?

Due to the fact that secondary aged students (grades 7-12) have the
opportunity to vaccinate against Covid-19, the school district is considering
not offering distance learning to this age group. If you are the

Due to vaccinations not being available to students under the age of 12, a

As we develop our 2021-2022 school plan, we are considering many different
factors. I would like to share some end of year statistics with you as you
make decisions as a family for the coming school year. From January 2021 - Ÿ

(through present day), the percentage of positive cases among our in-person
students was 0.2%, meaning that 99.8% of in-person students were not
impacted. The low rate of transmission is due to mitigation procedures and
vaccinations. Mitigation strategies will continue into the 2021-2022 school
year and will be adjusted as guidance changes. We are excited to move
forward to a much more normal 2021-2022 school year. Please take this

My child attends North Bay, and I am a teacher at BUE. I am incredibly appreciative of the seriousness with which the district has
taken in-person learning. At no point in time have I ever felt that either myself or my child could be at risk due to efforts not
made by the district. In my opinion, in-person learning is essential. Thank you SO much!!!! -Cagney Weaver

I am excited for my childs next school year. I would like it if there was an open house so my son can get an idea of the layout of
the school before his first day. Also if parents inform that their child is vaccinated please consider not requiring that child to be
                    masked

Don’t make the vaccine mandatory for students. Lift the masks mandates for next next year.
