2021-22 Event, Sponsorship and Volunteer Information
Dear Blanchet Catholic School Parents,
The Development team has been busy this summer planning the events for this next school year! Our primary
responsibilities include raising money for the school and planning activities and events for our wonderful students,
families, alumni and donors. We also help manage Blanchet’s social media and online applications including Blanchet’s
website, our student information system, RenWeb and the mobile application, BlanchetCavs Family App.
Blanchet receives a majority of our annual funding through three traditional fundraisers. They are the True Blue Gala
(our annual benefit auction), the Student Raffle, and an Annual Appeal. The critical funds raised from these events help
us keep Blanchet open and enable us to continue providing mid-Willamette Valley students with a faith-based, college
preparatory education.
We are planning a full schedule of activities this year and will do our best to keep you and your family engaged and
connected to the entire Blanchet Community. This packet includes important information and dates regarding parent
fundraising responsibilities as well as opportunities for you to be involved.
As a reminder, your registration agreement outlines that each family is responsible for:
Donating $100 to the auction (cash, a new, donated items, or sponsorship),
Selling at least one book of raffle tickets per student in the family and
A donation of any amount to the Annual Appeal.
Additionally, we offer opportunities for families or businesses to become event sponsors as well as opportunities to
volunteer to help with events and activities! All of that information is included in this packet. I invite you to read it
thoroughly and consider becoming an active member of the Blanchet Community!

2021 Auction—True Blue Gala
Virtual, online Silent Auction begins on
Monday, October 4 at 12:00 noon and ends on
Friday, October 8 at 7:00 pm.
In-person, Live Auction will be held on
Saturday, October 9 beginning at 6:00 pm.
Each family is responsible for donating $100
cash, $100 in gift-cards or a new, un-used item
valued at $100 or higher.
All donations are due by Friday, September 24.
Sponsorships and catalog advertising can be
purchased until Friday, September 24.
2021 Student Raffle
Ticket Sales begin March 28, 2022.
Each student is responsible for selling one
book of tickets (10 tickets; $10 per ticket)
All tickets and cash are due on April 25, 2022.
The raffle drawing will be hosted live on
Facebook on April 28 at 2:30 pm.
2021-22 Annual Appeal
Begins July 1, 2021 and ends on June 30, 2022
Each family is responsible for making a
donation, of any amount, before June 30, 2021.

2021 True Blue Gala
About the Annual Benefit Auction
Blanchet is pleased to announce it’s 25th annual benefit auction. A lovely catered
dinner along with entertainment and a live auction will be held on Saturday, October
9, 2021 beginning at 6:00 pm. The auction is our largest fundraiser, and our goal is to
raise $185,000 for students and programs.
Parent support of the auction is critical to its success. Here’s how you can be
involved...
DONATE
Each family is responsible for donating $100 to the auction. This can
include donations of cash, gift cards or a new, unused item with a value
of $100 or more. Don’t know what to donate? Please review the
donation wish list (pg 8) on the back of the donation form for donation
ideas.
We also need dessert donations; the value of the dessert will count towards
the $100 donation.
Blanchet families can also solicit auction donations with a value of $100 or
greater from friends, family and business associates and these donations
can count as your contribution.
Parent donations are due by September 24, 2021.
Families who turn in their donations on or before September 10 will be
entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card. There will be two gift
cards awarded.

Parents can also sponsor a table for the live auction. Sponsorship

VOLUNTEER
Parents can also participate by volunteering. In addition to being our
largest and most important fundraiser, the auction is our largest volunteer
effort and biggest social occasion of the year. Working on the auction is a
great way to meet fellow parents and to learn more about our school community.

True Blue Gala Dessert Donation Form
General criteria for dessert donations:
We request that the dessert serve at least 8 and include a plate/box that it can
be served on and given to the winning bidder.
The dessert needs to be described exactly (type, title, description). For
example, “Animal Cookies – White-Velvet Cream Cheese Cut-Out Cookies”
helps identify exactly what the item is for winning bidder. Please explicitly
note if there are nuts or any other common allergen.
Please provide the approximate value of the dessert.
Contact information, name, address, phone number and email is also needed.
Please deliver the dessert to Blanchet no later than 1:00 p.m. on Saturday
October 9, the day of the auction. We can also pick up desserts as long as we
are notified by September 24.
The dessert cannot be refrigerated the night of the auction. Please make sure
your dessert can sit out in the ‘room temperature’ for several hours and still
be ‘fresh’.

Student Raffle Information About the Annual Student Raffle The Blanchet development team works with student leadership to plan a Student Raffle each year! Students sell raffle tickets to help raise money to benefit students and student programs such as New Student Orientation, CAV Spirit Day, Class Retreats, Grandparents Day, and much more. Each student is required to sell one book of ten tickets. For this school year, ticket sales will begin on Monday, March 28 and will conclude on Monday, April 25, 2022 when all ticket and money collected are due. The drawing for the raffle prizes and announcement of student prizes will be held at an afternoon assembly at Blanchet on Thursday, April 28 at 2:30 pm. We are always looking for donations for raffle items and/or families or businesses to sponsor the raffle. Please see the enclosed Event Sponsorship form (pages 13/14) for more details on raffle sponsorships. With gracious sponsorships, we offer wonderful raffle prizes and student incentive prizes! About the Annual Appeal
Blanchet is a school that is blessed with an incredibly supportive community because of the difference
it makes in the lives of our students and, through them, in the world. It is this support that allows us
to keep our tuition among the lowest of similar schools in the Oregon.
We work tirelessly to keep our doors open wide, welcoming students of all backgrounds and
financial means. Last year, we awarded tuition assistance to over fifty percent of our students.
With your help, we can make a Blanchet education accessible to every family who seeks one.
Please consider a gift to Blanchet Catholic School in support of our students. Donating to the
Annual Appeal helps us pay for academic programs, operational costs and teacher salaries, to
name just a few items. A donation to Blanchet is an investment in our mission to prepare
students for college and for life, to form individuals of faith. You can help transform the world by
supporting the young people entrusted to our care. With your help, we can all make a difference
in the lives of our students.
