WELCOME BACK We are delighted to finally be welcoming you back to the Royal Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne after the extended closure due to the pandemic. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our wonderful patrons and friends for the continued support - we truly could not be re-opening our doors without you. We have used this time wisely by continuing with maintenance of the building, including a big technical upgrade and finishing the refurbishment of the Dress Circle toilets. We will be opening gradually over the upcoming months but what better way to kick things off than with our very own Summer Season cast with ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’. Expect song, dance and comedy led by the wonderful Grant Martins. As always we have a huge variety of exciting shows on offer this year. With professional touring companies, local groups, fantastic bands, singers and comedians. Highlights over the course of this year include a Britains Got Talent season with 2020 winner Jon Courtenay, Steve Royle, Sign Along With Us and Lance Corporal Richard Jones, evenings with legendary bands WET WET WET, The Stylistics and The Fizz (formerly Bucks Fizz), and hilarious comedians Joel Dommett and Jim Davidson. These events are sure to be entertaining, so book now to avoid disappointment. As always, we have a plethora of amazing jukebox shows including tributes to Bon Jovi, George Michael, The Beatles, Meatloaf, Queen, Luther Vandross, David Bowie, Barry Manilow and many more. There really is an eclectic mix and something for everyone. Also for the festive season, we see the return of a Christmas Pantomime to the Hippodrome! The family favourite CINDERELLA will be packed with everything you’d wish for at a panto and more! Grab your tickets to the ball now. On re-opening, the safety of our audiences, performers and staff is our utmost priority. We continue to follow government guidance and there will still be measures in place in and around the venue such as social distancing and wearing a face covering. ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ is a celebration of all
things theatrical!
A whistle-stop tour of musical genres through the years, with
comedy, exciting dance routines and much, much more. Our cast of
local professionals – with Comedy Host Grant Martins at the helm –
will celebrate and commemorate the re-opening of live theatre at

The Screaming Blue Murder Comedy
Club, now into its third year at The
Royal Hippodrome Theatre, has
become a regular highlight in the
Theatre’s programme with audiences
returning again and again for a brilliant
evening of entertainment.
The Screaming Blue Murder Comedy
Clubs were established in 1988. In that
time they have been proud to present
performers such as Jack Dee, Eddie
Izzard, Jo Brand, Bill Bailey and Alan
Davies, now all TV stars in their own
right.
Every other month sees a four-strong
line up of comedy’s rising stars, hosted
by your resident compere Windsor,

50 years in Showbiz – being
the original Eastbourne DIVA –
Jade is now saying goodbye to
her life at Sussex Dance
Studios where she has led the
ship for over 25 years. Hitting a
milestone big birthday (60), it is
time to hand over the reins to
the younger generation.
This concert is a tribute to 50
years of entertainment. Having
never done a concert just for
herself, Jade has taken this
opportunity to sing with many
friends and include as many
current and past students as
possible in ‘Au Revoir’.

The first winner of Britain’s Got Talent in 2007, Paul
Potts has gone on to enjoy a phenomenally successful
career which has allowed him to live his dream. Bullied
and taunted at school, singing in his local church choir
proved to be a sanctuary from the playground abuse.
Listening to La Boheme aged 16, Paul fell in love with
opera, a romance that was to set him on a turbulent
journey that would eventually lead to him winning the
first series of Britain’s Got Talent.
Joanna Forest has released 2 albums which went to
No 1 in the Classical charts.
Classical Reflection are identical twins Naomi and
Hannah Moxon. They appeared on The Voice, have

star Steve Royle takes his Royle Variety
Performance on the road for a fun-filled

Wet Wet Wet are undeniably a musical phenomenon, having made an incredible impact with
their music over the last four decades, becoming one of the most successful bands in British
pop history. Selling in excess of 15 million singles and albums to date, Wet Wet Wet have
featured in the UK official singles and album charts for over an immense 500 weeks. With
number 1 hits including ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ and ‘Goodnight Girl’, 1994’s

Capped 73 times for his country

After retirement from Rugby, Phil
took part in Celebrity Masterchef
in 2011 and was a surprise
winner in the final showing a deft
touch and creating some
