Tests will be taken online within a 12-hour
period (8:00 am to 8:00 pm) on their
designated day via a smartphone, tablet,
or computer
Tests will be open book/open note

All competitors should review the
“Security and Ethical Statement”,
especially as it relates to online testing
Testing is not collaborative. Each
competitor should take the test on his/her
own

For all team testing events, all team
members must take the test within one
hour of each other
Coordinate with other team members to
take the test within 60 minutes of each
other

Tests are timestamped electronically, and
Texas HOSA will monitor to ensure team

affirmative or negative and have 30
seconds to prepare their thoughts

Those with the 10 highest scores will
advance to round two.

will be declared the winner and the other
placements will depend on the number of
correctly spelled words

If test scores are the same, the
