Sideline Guidelines for Parents &
               Players:

As parents & players you represent yourself, your family,
        our community and our school system!
            Let’s do so in a positive manner:

 Player/Parent Code of Conduct signed prior to playing

                 Let the coaches coach
                Let the referees officiate
  Let the experience of playing lacrosse belong to your
                          child!

  Please check sites before reaching out to us!
 We are happy to help, however, we are proud of

Required Equipment:

Helmet (Cascade XRS, Youth S) - no hockey helmets
    Team Yellow preferred (This is NOT athletic gold)
NOCSAE approved
Mouth guard (SISU Preferred) - have a cheap spare
Chest/Shoulder protection - EKG beginning 2022
    Warrior Burn Pads Available through Registration
    for $110
Gloves - Team Order in Fall!
Elbow pads
Cup - New rule for 2022!
Cleats
Stick/Crosse
Base layer (recommended/based on temperatures)

Preseason & Practice:
    Most pre-season offerings take place at:
       Hudsonville Christian Middle School

    Times for all events will be set by league
            U8 (1/2) - Hughes Park (7V7)
           U10 (3/4) - Hughes Park (7V7)
         U12 (5/6) - Jamestown Elementary
      U14 (7/8) - Baldwin Street Middle School
  U6 (K and under) - Baldwin Street Middle School

   *Most games are played at same practice field

ALL teams (3rd-8th) are participating in the MLL
 We will likely have both Thursday and Saturday
                MLL League games.

          Full gear, unless told otherwise
     Weather permitting (All sessions outdoors)

Last Year was very successful, we would like to see this
        group grow in participation and skills!
Where the Money Goes:

Referee expenses
USLAX membership for coaches (Insurance &
background checks)
Rentals: pre-season practice fields / learn to play

New equipment: goals, nets, balls, goalie gear,
helmet wraps, scoring equipment/timers,
sweatshirts, sweatpants, shooter shirts,
uniforms.

            We need your help!
 The bulk of the Sponsorships have aged out
  and are now in High School. We need new
       sponsors to keep prices down!

  Sponsorships help acquire needed gear to
grow the program at all levels. Also helps allow
 multiple player discounts and reduce overall
               cost per player.

     Donate Old / Unused Equipment:
 Lacrosse is expensive; we want to reduce the
      cost barrier of entry into our sport!
General Info:

1) High School Coach CAN coach through 6th Grade.
          in the off-season.

2) EKG Chest Pads:
          MANDATORY IN 2022! Team order available through 10/31
          Price is $110 for Warrior Burn. $175 for Nike Vapor

3) Helmets: Team Yellow Cascade XRS,S,& R are used in High School.
          Preseason Team XRS Helmet order is complete
          as of 10/15. Discounted from $325 to $235 for XRS!

           Team orders are possible with order of 12 helmets & 12 Gloves
           $215 for Youth S
           $235 Adult XRS

4) Team Gloves available at Athletes Connection.
          Limited Supply as these were extras from last years Pre-season
          team order.
          These are the same Gloves the High School uses.

5) “Game Misconduct/Sportsmanship” penalties: (Lifetime)
      1st Offense: 1 Game Suspension
      2nd Offense: Removal from team
      (Parent meeting with Coach/Director)

6) Photos:
       may be used on Instagram and Facebook for promotion of club /
       sport.
Team Gear Requirements / Options:

1)Team issued Jersey, CURRENT Shooter Shirt, Shorts are Required to
step on the field.

2) Helmet Wraps are also Mandatory: Club buys first one, family buys
any thereafter.

3) Cold Weather Gear: If temps are cold enough to warrant it, Team issued
Sweats and Sweatshirt are acceptable (NAVY ONLY). Club buys first one,
Family buys future cold weather gear.

4) Player gear available on our Store in November and February:
Items included as "Player Gear" Jersey, Shorts, Shooter shirt, Team Sweat
pants, Team Sweatshirt, Helmet Wrap, Team Yellow Helmet, Team Gloves,
Team Elbow pads (Some items may be limited)

5) Spirit Wear: We will also offer spirit wear for parents, family and friends.
This will include: Baseball cap, Beanie, Backpack, Gear bag, 1/4 Zip,
Sweatshirts, Cold Weather/rain Jacket and possibly a few more items.

 2) Hudsonville Youth Lacrosse Player Requirements:
 A) Priority is given to HPS students.
 B) Hudsonville Christian / Unity is in a Co-Op with Holland Christian
  and shall follow their High school guidelines.
 C) Players may play with HYL IF their School DOES NOT offer Lacrosse
 AND they are not in a CO-OP with another School
 D) If non HPS students have played with HYL prior to 2022, they MAY
 be grandfathered in based on a board vote.
 E) Players shall play with their grade level with few exceptions.
 (Exceptions will go to the board for a vote)
Boys Summer Opportunities 2022:

 Omnia is the Premiere Lacrosse Club in West
Michigan. This is for kids that desire to play post
                   High School.

         Omnia Tryouts in August 2021
        Supplemental Tryout: See K.O.

    Training Beginning In September 2021
