Summary description
General description
The product is suitable for cold-storage rooms in industrial plants. The cooler is
designed to be mounted close to the ceiling This will reduce the risk of icing on the
upper side of the product.
The coolers is provided with axial fans, and the casing is made of plain plastic
protected aluminium plate. Electric heating rods, drip pan coils are 1-phase 230 V and
2-phase 400 V.
Important!
Avoid unnecessary opening of doors to cold-storage rooms.
Hot air flowing into the room can cause icing on the finned coils. Free air circulation
within the cold-storage room is necessary in order to obtain maximum cooling effect.
The finned surfaces should be clean and free from dust and ice.

Receiving of Goods and Mounting
Before leaving the factory the product went through a thorough control of quality and
serviceability. If the product, in spite of this control, should be defective or damaged
due to transportation, the sales and transporter representative should be contacted
immediately.

The product should be transported to and
placed in its designated place before removing
the straps.
Cut off the stripes (1) and remove
the lid (2) of the packing.
Lift up the product onto the enclosed pallet
with the intended hoist (3).
Mount the product in the factory-assembled
brackets (4).

Lower the pallet (packing) with the hoist (3).

Installation
The installation instructions below should be read together with the brochure
containing the technical description.
Location of coolers
It is very important to place the product according to the minimum measures
below. This is due to air circulation and the possibility to maintain service.
N.B.
Remember to remove the protective plastic from all products prior to starting.
To be able to change the electric heating rods a minimum distance of E + 200 mm
must be kept.

Assembly of Droplet Guard
The droplet guard is only delivered with models
performing 1400 rpm (4P/4DY).
The droplet guard is delivered retracted.
Remove the bolts (1). Loosen the bolt (2) and
lower the droplet guard.
Tighten the bolts when the droplet guard is in
position (3).

Installation
The installation should only be carried out
by authorised personnel according to
national standards.
Connection of fan 1
DDB/DDX is connected as follows: 2
Remove the screws (1) with a screw driver and remove

the cap (2). Cable is connected through fitting (3) on
the bottom side of the cover. Connect according to
attached electrical wiring diagram
Fit the cable as the pictures.

Connection of electric heating
DDB/DDX has screws (4) on the hatch.
Insert the cable at the upper edge on
the long side and connect the electric heating I
to the junction box.

Setting of overload protection
The diagram shows the setting of overload
at different room temperatures. Motor rating data 0.9
according to product sign at -30°C.
E.g. at a room temperature of 0°C. 0.8

Pipework installation of DDB

The cooler should be filled with correct type 3
and quantity of freezing coolant recommended
by the installation engineer.
The connection pipes are placed on one of
the short sides. Open the hatch, see page 9.
Air vents are placed on the high point of the
collecting pipe (1).

Connect in-coming flow on pipe (2).
Connect return flow on pipe (3).
Make sure that the drain pipe is connected to
the assembly pan before ventilation of the
pipe system is carried out.

Maintenance
Caution! Make sure the current is switched off
Cleaning of cooling element/coil
Loosen the bolts (M6) in the shackle lock
and pull out the shackles and lower
the drip pan and the drip plate.
Clean the drip pan, the drip plate and
the cooling element with water and non-polluting
detergent which does not corrode aluminium or copper.
Check that the drain pipe is not clogged.
Rinse and leave to dry.

Caution!
Always use protective gloves when cleaning
or working with the fin surface.
