Altech Netstar aims to ensure that caring and professional assistance is offered to you during any unforeseen
incidents and to reduce the trauma associated with such events. As an Altech Netstar member, you have access to
six dynamic value added services offered through Altech Netstar A2B. These include Roadside Assistance, Drive me
home service, Accident Manager, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Trauma Counselling and Trip Monitor.

Roadside Assistance

No matter what happens on the road to slow you down, we’ll be there to help get you back on your way.

Our 24-hour assistance line offers peace of mind by dispatching the appropriate service providers in the event of a roadside
emergency, anywhere in South Africa. In certain instances, non-roadside locations are accommodated too.

This service includes:

Mechanical and electrical breakdown
• A towing service is provided to tow the vehicle to the nearest place of repair or safekeeping

Jump-start service
• A service provider is dispatched to jump start the vehicle

Tyre change service
• Changing a flat tyre can be arranged at both roadside and non-roadside locations

Running out of fuel
• 10 litres of fuel can be supplied at roadside locations only - maximum of 2 incidents per annum

Keys locked in vehicle
• Service includes the cost of the call-out fee and one hour’s labour

Additional assistance
• For roadside incidents more than 100km away from the member’s home, members may take advantage of:

-      one night accommodation, taxi service or Class B vehicle hire to a maximum value of R500
-      Vehicle towing/transportation following repair to a maximum of R500
Drive me home service

You live. We drive.

Drive me home service is a designated driver service which ensures that you always arrive home safely after a night out, with
the added convenience of having your vehicle driven home safely for you. With Drive me home service, you have a convenient
and easy solution to avoid an accident or any penalties if you are stopped by a traffic officer. Drive me home service allows
you to abide to the 0 tolerance law - making our roads safer.

This service includes:

• Availability within a 50km radius of city centres in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth
  and George
• A vehicle with two drivers will be dispatched and the member will be driven home in their own vehicle
• Designated drivers are equipped with a mobile phone and have access to a GPS
• This service is limited to 6 incidents per annum
Accident Manager

Activate immediate legal, towing and medical assistance with one single call.

This 24-hour assistance line provides professional management of all aspects of a motor vehicle accident. Our experienced
consultants manage over 8,000 motor vehicle accidents per year.

This service includes:

• The vehicle will be towed to the preferred place of repair
• Arrangements will be made to transport the member and their passengers home, either through the towing service
  provider or alternative transport
• Arrangement of car hire, if required
• Arrangement of medical transportation, if required
• Emergency relay service
• Following the accident, members have access to telephonic legal advice relating to the collision and may also be referred to a
  specialist attorney if necessary
Emergency Medical Services

An independent national network of at least 5,000 emergency medical personnel, ready to respond to your call.

In the event of a medical emergency, our 24-hour emergency advice and assistance call centre will arrange critical medical
assistance and transportation.

This service includes:

• 24-hour life-saving assistance through the immediate dispatch of emergency medical services
• Emergency transportation by air or road ambulance
• Safe transfer of children following an accident
• Repatriation/return of mortal remains in the event of a death as a result of a medical emergency
• Access to non-emergency medical transportation, on a member-to-pay basis
Trauma Counselling

Trauma support from experts and professionals is just a phone call away.

Qualified nurses and trained trauma counsellors are available 24-hours to provide telephonic trauma counselling. A debrief takes
place with an invitation to call back if the need arises to discuss the situation further. In cases where assessment takes place and
the nurse feels that professional assistance will be required, they advise that the patient visit a professional trauma counsellor for
a one-on-one session.

An outbound trauma counselling service is also provided, where the nurse will contact the individual or family member of the
deceased following a traumatic event or death.
Trip Monitor

You need never drive alone, whether you’re returning home from work or taking a long trip, we’ll keep track of where you are to
ensure you reach your destination safely.

Trip Monitor is a 24-hour help line where case managers maintain regular telephonic contact with a motorist to facilitate safe
travel.

This service includes

• The monitoring of short distance trips, at 30 minute intervals or more such as travelling home from work, or long distance travel
  such as holiday trips
• Ensures that the member and/or passengers reach their destination safely
• Should contact be interrupted, the member’s next of kin or another specified party, such as the emergency services are informed
  and the time and location of last communication is conveyed for speedy reaction
