WELCOME SPRING
The spring flowers have popped
out and are
blooming . We are celebrating
Spring - the days are growing
longer, and somewhat warmer.
As we transition to the spring
season, please help to keep our
community safe .Wear a mask,
social distance, and keep close
contacts to a minimum.“Waste isn’t waste until we waste it”
PAPER TOWEL COMPOSTING
Did you know that our school composts the paper towels we use every
day?
Trailblazers are always looking for ways to reduce our waste and lessen
our impact on the environment. When we had to shut down our reusable
towel program due to Covid-19 we got creative! We found an organization
that would help us compost our paper towels so that they don't end up in
the landfill. In the compost paper towels decompose in only a few weeks
but in a landfill it can take up to 15 years! Every week we fill three 64
gallon bins with paper towels and send them to be composted. Thanks to
all of the teachers and students that help us to make this initiative work!FROM THE DANCE CORNER “When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” – Wayne Dyer
FROM THE DANCE CORNER The filming for our school-wide dance video to “Jerusalema” is nearing completion. Ms. Presingular prepares the final four Middle Years classes to get filmed on Monday, April 19th. So far, 35 classes (and one staff group) out of 39 got filmed! The finished product will be shared at a virtual divisional dance event, “Seven Oaks Dance Day” on April 29th. The video will also be shared with our Amber Trails families.
ANTI-
ANTI-RACISM TOWNHALL
The Town Hall was held last month to speak about the racism that exists within
our community and provide ideas about how we all can together address it.
Please check the following link to know more about the Anti-Racism Townhall that our
school did last month.
