                         2021 Scholarship Application

To Scholarship Applicants:

Each year the Richardson Woman’s Club Charitable Foundation, Inc. awards scholarships to
graduating seniors from an RISD high school or to Richardson residents graduating from a PISD
high school. Scholarships may vary in amount and must be used during the 2021-2022 school
year (first year in college) for tuition, books, and fees. Awarded scholarships are paid directly to
the college for the fall semester and cannot be used for room and/or board.

The student must plan to attend and be able to meet entrance requirements for a State of Texas
Public Supported School (university, college, vocational school, community college, or technical
institute). Scholarships are NOT offered to students planning to attend a private college or an
out-of-state public supported school.

To apply, complete and attach the following:
      1. Application
      2. Two personal or teacher reference forms – one must be from a high school teacher
          with the other recommendation coming from either a teacher, employer, clergy, or
          family friend. Letters may not be from relatives.
      3. A transcript from your high school (Please mark out the social security number)
      4. If your transcript does not contain your SAT and/or ACT test scores, please attach
          these separately. (if available)
      5. FAFSA SAR (Student Aid Report)

Selection for the scholarship is based on the following factors:
       1. Academics
       2. Financial need
       3. Recommendations
       4. SAT/ACT scores (if available)
       5. Personal essay

During the latter part of March and the beginning of April, the Richardson Woman’s Club
Charitable Foundation, Inc. Philanthropy Committee will review the applications. Scholarship
recipients will be notified by phone or email no later than April 15, 2021 of the scholarship
amount they will be receiving.
