Seaside Farm Retreat
Seaside Farm overlooks Preservation Bay at Penguin with magnificent views of the coastline.
The modern luxury two-bedroom cottages are self-contained. The sound of the waves at night

Dementia Farm Program
Molenda Lodge, Historic Home and Farm, 334 Castra Road, Ulverstone is hosting people with Dementia and their carers
on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am to 12noon by appointment. The free event activities include – enjoying a cuppa,
wander around the garden, pick berries or vegies in season, relax in the Gazebo, read a story, do a puzzle or just chat,
animal feeding, petting and grooming, a variety of animals including poultry, pet goose, alpacas, sheep, ponies, donkey
and Labrador dogs, and an opportunity to work alongside Primary School Children. Please contact Rossi Marshall to

Wings Wildlife Park Open 10am to 4pm
Our Wildlife park is open 7 days a week from 10am – 4pm. We also run animal feeding and
talk times throughout the day. So, if you want to watch our animals feed or learn something
new base your visit around our talk times.

                        stalls-local makers, Clydesdale horse and cart rides, fresh vegetables, fairy floss and snow cones,
                        home baking, jumping castle, food vendors, face painting, henna tattoos, buskers plants and much
                        more. Jumping castle 1pm to 5pm. Easter raffles-every purchase before 4.30pm gets you a ticket
                        into our multiple raffle draws at approx. 4.30pm. Easter goodies hunt around the inside stalls for
                        the kids!

Sun 4               Easter Fair – Easter Egg Hunt on the Farm – Mount Gnomon Farm, 886 Ironcliffe Road,
                    Penguin, 11am. A family day out with an Easter egg scavenger hunt, craft and produce stalls, face
                    painting, piglet patting and kids crafts. Talented local musician Brad Von Rock will provide live
                    interactive family entertainment including hits from the wiggles which will get the children up
                    and about and dancing with easter bunny. You get to sit back and enjoy a drink from the bar and
                    some delicious barbecue food. Bring a basket and follow the clues. There will be several scavenger
                    hunts for different age groups. Easter bunny will be present to assist follow the clues. The bar will
                    be open and we will be serving a range of barbecue food options for the family. This is a ticketed
                    event. Please note the age and easter egg hunt times. The cost includes eggs. Children 0-2 Free
                    entry supervised Easter egg hunt 11:00 am. Children 3-6 $15 Easter egg hunt 11:30 am. Children

                    advisory, frontline and volunteer staff working in local primary health, social services and
                    community settings to develop their existing professional knowledge and understanding of the

Fri 9               Beethoven & Mozart - Art Screen Events is excited to be collaborating with the Tasmanian
                    Symphony Orchestra to bring you their Friday Night live concerts to the big screen at the
                    Leven Theatre. Tickets start from just $10 but you can also include a cheese box from The
                    Tasmanian Food and Wine Conservatory in your ticket price that we will have ready for you upon

                  Saturday 10th at 6.30pm and Sunday 11th April 2pm, brought to you by Art Screen Events.
                  Frankenstein returns to international cinemas to mark the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s
                  most famous novel. Captured live in from the National Theatre stage in London, this thrilling,
                  sold-out production became an international sensation, experienced by almost half a million

                  besties to support the work of Delta Therapy Dogs. Delta is a not-for-profit volunteer program
                  delivering Animal-Assisted Intervention to North West aged care facility residents, people with

                  coffee, a bite to eat and some great market shopping from 8:30 - 12:30pm.

Mon 12            Basketball Clinic – Olivers Bakery & Café Stadium, Ulverstone, from 10am to 1pm. Players
                  from the St Lukes Health Thunder team will provide a great session of entertainment and
                  instruction for children 7-14 years at the first of our 2021 School Holiday clinics. Cost is $50 per
                  child, which includes a junior Thunder membership and associated merchandise pack. $35 for
                  current Thunder junior members. A hot lunch will be provided by Olivers Bakery & Café.
                  Children need to bring their own drink. Payment can be made on the day. Bookings are essential

                  a free ticket to a Thunder home game.

Sat 17            Myoozik at Kindred Hall – Kindred Hall 6pm to 12am. We have waited long enough, it's
                  been just over a year since our last event! We finally are able to announce we are back! We will
                  be following covid safe rules. With a few of our favourite local bands and a band new to
                  Myoozik. $20 Entry. There will be food available for our favourite cook (Maude), great range of
                  drinks from the bar. No BYO drinks and no eftpos (cash only). Make a night of it and camp for

                   celebrate the past, present and future of The Rotary Clubs of Ulverstone and Ulverstone West
                   and the Rotaract Club of Central Coast. Have you been associated with a Rotary or Rotaract
                   project such as RYLA, Exchange, Festival in the Park? Are you a current or past member of

Sat 17             Harvest Moon Carrot Festival – Harvest Moon, Forth Farm, 288 Leith Road, Forth, 10am
                   to 3pm. The Harvest Moon Carrot Festival is back in 2021, bigger than ever! This year we are
                   including all things vegetable in our celebration and our factory tours have been extended to
                   include all of our production sites. Tours must be booked at least a day in advance - sign up via
                   the ticket link below. Numbers for our tours are limited (and tours booked out fast in 2019!)
                   Transport between factories will be on the Tractor Express – a hayride trailer pulled by a tractor
                   (expertly piloted by our experienced tractor drivers!)     In addition to tours, there will be kids
                   activities, including face painting, balloons, goody bags (while they last) and a vegetable display.
                   Harvest Moon popular machinery display will be back too! Sample dips with vegetable dippers,
                   enjoy a free veggie juice, purchase yummy veg-based food, including carrot cakes, carrot
                   pancakes and vegetable fritters, as well as a sausage sizzle (with a veggie twist of course).

Sat 17 & Sun 18    Launceston Horticultural Society Inc AUTUMN SHOW – Evandale Memorial Hall, 8
                   High Street, Evandale. Saturday 2pm to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 4pm. Also on the same days
                   10am to 4pm Strathmore Open Garden. A great day out for the whole family.

Sun 18             Come and Try MTB – Cradle Coast Mountain Bike Club, Penguin Mountain Bike Park from
                   10am to 12.15pm. Cradle Coast MTB Club invite you along to our Come and Try MTB day at the
                   Penguin mountain bike park! The idea is to encourage people, young and old who are
                   considering getting into mountain biking or who have just begun and want some help and
                   advice. We will discuss the basics of a mountain bike an offer some coaching and offer some
                   guided rides. There will be qualified instructors, with first aid and WVP certification attending
                   and a BBQ at lunchtime. A bike helmet is compulsory and a bike is preferred but does not have
                   to be a mountain bike. If you don’t have either just contact us and we might be able to sort

Sun 18             Poultry Workshop – 10 Fernybridge Road, Sprent, 10am. The Tasmanian Rare Breeds
                   Poultry Club is running a chook workshop to help those who would like to know more, or get
                   some advice on keeping all sorts of poultry. What breeds to buy, what to feed, how to recognise
                   disease and much, much more. There will be a light luncheon, tea and coffee. Lots of literature
                   on many topics and an excellent book will be given out on the day. Plenty to see and talk about,
                   including a demonstration after lunch on how to kill and dress poultry if desired. Please phone

                   Presented by printmaking tutor for Leven Regional Arts Marilyn Brack; Associateship in Art
                   Teaching, West Australian Institute of Technology; printmaking major Curtin University. You
                   and 5 others can spoil yourself with a day of fun\. $50 per person includes … The printing:
                   tuition to make a wonderful drypoint intaglio etching, provision of all tools, water based
                   printing ink, no drawing or printmaking experience is necessary, selection from a wide range of
                   images to etch, or provide your own artwork. The Eating: of morning tea on arrival, of a
                   personalised lunch as you take in the views of the Forth estuary listening to live acoustic guitar
                   and song. The Drinking: of teas, coffee and water as you work, of your BYO wine at your leisure.

                             suitable for adults experiencing or at risk of anxiety, depression or stress, and will have a
                             particular emphasis on depression. Learn practical strategies for managing difficult feelings,
                             thoughts and situations in a relaxed group environment with our qualified Mindfulness Teacher
