This letter you see every month on page 17
of Chirocom has not changed since I first
wrote it 22 years ago, at the inception of
Chirocom. We were the “com” before the in-
ternet. The basic purpose of Chirocom has not
changed. Chirocom is committed to serving
California Chiropractors. (25% of all U.S. active licensed Chiropractors live and work in our state.)
I would like to thank our readers and advertisers; many, many, who have been with us since our first year.
A few common questions I have answered over the years.
1. Why does Chirocom appear on the internet 3 days after it is delivered to all doctors? When we started posting
Chirocom on the internet, out of state doctors and companys would call and buy up all the classified offerings, the
California doctors would call and were told, it’s sold. Now California doctors have the first opportunity.
2. Can I still get my ad in after the Friday noon deadline? When we close the office Friday around noon everything
is sent to our graphic artist Cat. (Thank you Cat). Cat is an independent contractor who works remotely, she starts
to work on Chirocom. It takes about ten hours, Saturday morning I check the office mail for “late” ads, those the
post office might have been late delivering. I send them to Cat - she inserts them, sends me the final proof, I ok it,
and it is sent to the printer by 2:00 pm Saturday.
3. Why can’t I fax or e-mail my ad? When you mail in your ad, the text goes in one pile and your check goes into
another. DONE – If you e-mail or fax it becomes a very elongated process. Sylvia only works 9 hours a week and
does not have the time to use PayPal, match the ads to the payments, keep track of who’s paid, send reminders,
etc… That’s why the late fee, it is a lot of extra work. I know things come up at the last minute, and you need to
get your ad in Chirocom, we will do your best to accomodate you.
4. Why aren’t ad in categories? As I’ve explained to those who have called, I would like you to look through all
of Chirocom. You never know what you’ll find. Take a look at ALL of the companies and businesses advertise-
ments. They are paying for the exposure and I would appreciate you giving their products and services your con-
sideration. As you can see they are top quality, first rate companies and individuals. They deserve your attention.
Because of their support I can afford to let you place your personal classifieds for only $20 per month.
Thank you again for your support over these many years. Please tell them you saw their ad in Chirocom. They’ll
appreciate it – And so will I. I welcome your comments and suggestions. Chirocom is “The” California Market
