Welcome to Avegates
Welcome to Avegates, your very own Social Experience
Network. Avegates offers people with disability the
opportunity to engage in fun and exciting group based
events and holidays that assist you to achieve your social
and recreational goals in the community.

Avegates is about encouraging you to live your best possible
life so, we aim to develop activities and opportunities
which offer something for everyone and to assist you in
participating in new experiences, develop your social skills
and getting the most out of life.

Avegates Supported Holidays provide an opportunity for
you to work towards your goals via travel. We do our
best to tailor holidays to your needs and interests, but
also offer set holidays throughout the year. We offer P&O
cruises, domestic and international holidays with tours,
activities, visits to local parks and shows. We also include the services of our experienced
Disability Support Workers who are not only there to support you with getting the best
out of your holiday, but to make sure you enjoy every moment!

                                                                    Affordable Holidays
                          Assisted holidays should be no more expensive than any other
                          travel. We are able to provide highly skilled and specialised support
                          staff who can provide you with round the clock support to ensure
                          you can make the most out of your vacation. Our holidays have
                          two cost components, funds supplied through your NDIS plan to
                          cover provision of supports while on your trip and an out of pocket
                          cost which covers other ancillary costs detailed in your booking
                          confirmation. Our standard inclusion on every group holiday is one
staff member per three guests (1:3 ratio). If you require a higher staff ratio (1:2 or 1:1) this can
also be provided on request. We arrange holidays that include accessible accommodation,
meals and activities so that you can travel without any worries.

Activity costs can cover components such as accommodation, meals, inclusions listed in the
itinerary, and flights (if specified) or transport costs. By doing so, we enable you to compare
like for like – just like you would compare any other holiday packages.
You will need to accommodate additional funds for any noted exclusions (such as flights and
travel insurance), and your identified support staff requirements.

NDIS
Multicap is an NDIS registered provider and is compliant with the National
Disability Service Standards. The NDIS funds reasonable and necessary
supports which may include holiday supports, so speak with your Local
Area Coordinator about including holidays in your NDIS plan.

All NDIS participants must ensure they have enough funding in core
supports, which covers the cost of support provided for the duration of
the holiday.

It is expected that the participant’s NDIS plan remains in effect during the
period the supports are provided and that the participant/participant’s
representative will immediately notify Multicap if the participant’s NDIS
plan is replaced by a new plan or the participant stops being a participant
in the NDIS.

If the passenger is claiming support costs through the NDIS, Multicap will
process a claim via the NDIS Providers Portal, Plan Managers or directly
with the passenger if self-managed.

If the participant's NDIS funding is suspended or replaced by a new NDIS
plan, the participant or their representative is liable for all outstanding
costs.

There will still be out of pocket expenses, including, but not limited to;
accommodation, transport, meals etc.

We do our best to research our destinations and activities to ensure all
activity costs are affordable and we get the best possible deals. Once
your holiday has been confirmed, we will advise you of the out of pocket
                    costs for the trip and issue an invoice with the deposit
                    and full payment deadlines.

                    Avegates offers a range of holidays to meet most
                    budgets, even those saving whilst on a disability
                    support pension. The shorter the holiday duration
                    (nights away), the lower your holiday costs will be.
