Rebekah Kantor Rebekah Kantor has been a life-long congregant of Temple Israel. From Temple Preschool to Jewish education, and for her Bat Mitzvah, Rebekah has called Temple Israel home. Born and raised in the Tulsa Jewish Community, Rebekah experimented with a nomadic lifestyle post high school, taking her to three other states before finally returning home in 2018. Moving back to Tulsa was unexpected with many unknowns, yet Rebekah found her sense of community by becoming a BBYO advisor and stepping foot back in Temple Israel. Because this was such an avid part of Rebekah’s high school career, Rebekah found comfort in the familiarity, but also in the reward of helping shape the Jewish youth of Tulsa. After realizing that serving the Jewish community was her calling, Rebekah began the role as Executive Director of Tulsa Tomorrow in August of 2019, which aims to encourage Young Jewish Professionals, millennials, and young families to move to Tulsa.
In addition to Rebekah’s passion to grow our Jewish community, Rebekah enjoys her co- ownership of a small Pet Boutique + Making Space with her lifelong friend. In conjunction with Judaism, this allows Rebekah to share her love for pets and creativity with Tulsa. By being a Temple Board Member, Rebekah hopes to meld her dedication to the Jewish community by bringing creativity and youth to our congregation. Rebekah hopes this not only brings self-growth to her life, but that the community also sees her a leader, mentor, friend, and contributing member to the Temple Israel Family. Eric Scholl Eric F.
