Makgadikgadi Pan - Linyanti Game Reserve – Okavango Delta
Day 01: Maun – Makgadikgadi Pan
On your arrival in Maun, you are welcomed and assisted to your onward charter flight to Jack’s Airstrip. This flight takes about
an hour. Jack’s Camp is located on a lonely palm island at the edge of the very dry salt pan Makgadikgadi, which overlooks
vast golden plains of the Makgadikgadi National Park in the Kalahari Desert. Enjoy a unique opportunity to explore the Pans
and to understand the Kalahari. Your desert experience is focusing on species unique to the area such as meerkats, oryx and
springbok as well as on geology, archaeology and anthropology of the Kalahari and Makgadikgadi. Jack’s Camp D
Day 02 & 03: Makgadikgadi Pan
Enjoy 2 full days at this unique place. It is a destination, that perfectly complements the wildlife experiences at the Okavango
Delta or Linyanti Reserve. Welcome to a semi desert area with large plains and salt pans. Tents with a romantic style and
classic East African feel offer comfort, which can hardly be imagined in this remote area. During the various activities, your
guide explains this totally different but extremely fascinating world. Activities include a morning with the meerkats, game
walks with Bushman trackers to observe desert wildlife, visits to the historical baobabs and night drives to view unique desert
wildlife. During the dry season from about April to October guests can have extensive use of the quad bikes as well as
exploring undocumented archaeological sites and early hominid settlements. The Makgadikgadi, an extinct super lake bigger
than Switzerland, is one of the most important wetland sites remaining in Africa. In the wet season, the Pans fill with water
attracting flocks of flamingo and other migratory birds. During dry season, such miracle can hardly be imagined when here, as
you seem to be on a never-ending salt pan. 2x Jack’s Camp B,L,D
Day 04: Makgadikgadi Pan - Maun – Linyanti Game Reserve /Selinda Area
Today your charter flight takes you back to Maun Airport, from where you continue your charter flight further north to the
Selinda Game Reserve. This Private Game Reserve extends about 1.350 km². The Selinda Spillway is the only connection
between the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti Swamps. From your lodge you can overlook open plains and at times little
islands with palms. Small lagoons characterise this remote, beautiful and animal rich game reserve. In addition to this absolute
unique and impressive landscape the area is known to offer excellent game viewing. The wonderfully authentic ambience in
the camp combined with the tasteful design creates a feel-good oasis of a special kind. Selinda Camp B,L,D

Day 05 & 06: Linyanti Game Reserve /Selinda Area
Enjoy 2 full safari days in this unique and remote area, which is home to elephant, lion, cheetah, leopard, zebra, wildebeest,
wild dog, lechwe and other plains game. In the mornings and evenings, you are welcome to participate in guided game
activities using open 4x4 safari vehicles, boats or even on foot and naturally always with a professional guide. Dream with this
silence and enjoy yourself in this quite unknown paradise. During siesta you might like to refresh in your little plunge pool or
even do some exercise on the fitness bike on your private terrace. Optional massages are also possible in the privacy of your
terrace. Simply embrace this unique safari experience in style. 2x Selinda Camp B,L,D
Day 07: Linyanti Game Reserve /Selinda Area – Moremi Game Reserve /Okavango Delta
Today your charter flight takes you to the Okavango Delta. During this flight of about 30 minutes, you get a wonderful aerial
impression of these fascinating landscapes. On arrival at Xigera Airstrip you are welcomed by your guide of Xigera Safari
Lodge and taken on your short transfer to the lodge. Xigera Safari Lodge is situated on ‘Paradise Island’ within the Moremi
Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. It is in an area, which has permanent water all year round, yet there are lots
of larger islands in the area, which hold good concentrations of animals. Whilst a nature reserve is obviously not a zoo, chances
for excellent game viewing are great. When entering this lodge, one is overwhelmed by the tasteful design and unique
combination of Panafric artworks throughout. In the afternoon, you may already like to explore the area with your guide. Be
ready for a truly impressive safari experience at an absolute unique lodge, where small details make the big difference and
create a series of wow moments. Simply enjoy! Xigera Safari Lodge B,L,D
Day 08 & 09: Moremi Game Reserve /Okavango Delta
Enjoy 2 full days in this exceptionally beautiful region. Great scenery and safari activities, combined with privacy make Xigera a
wonderful safari area. During classical game drives in the most comfortable and tailored safari vehicles, there are good
chances to see lion, elephant, buffalo, lechwe and even leopard. Boating takes one further afield and into excellent fishing
waters, whereby guided walks offer the opportunity to get a different perspective of the wilderness. Quiet waterways offer
unique mokoro opportunities. An optional helicopter flight over the impressive beauty of the Okavango Delta could also be
arranged. Xigera Safari Lodge offers the utmost of comfort and an extraordinary collection of pan-African art and design. You
may like to enjoy optional massage treatments in one of the pretty spa facilities. Dinner beneath the stars could be an elegant
affair and are complemented by selected wines from the exquisite wine cellar including wines from the award-winning sister
vineyard Bouchard Finlayson in South Africa. The lookout deck is perfect for stargazing, whilst the comfort of the suites with

Day 10: Moremi Game Reserve /Okavango Delta - Maun
Today you are flying back to Maun, where your wonderful Botswana journey ends or from where you continue your onward
programme. You may feel like a beach extension on the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique or in the Winelands in South
Africa for example. B
