A Note From The Fleet Captain

Dear Fellow BLC Members,
It is my distinct pleasure to announce that the basin is
open. For those slip holders that have removed the
recent snow and ice from your boats and are ready to
launch, you can now bring it to your slip. All of the
specialized work that needed to be performed by the
marine contractor within the basin is complete. This
included but was not limited to straightening and
resetting many pilings and replacing welded upright
brackets. Some uprights that are bolted into the wooden
dock structure itself and did not require water level
access are going to be addressed in-house. So please
bear with us if you may still see or may have a loose
upright on your dock or within your slip... it will be
addressed.
For all other members that want to begin to use the
transient slips it is imperative that you call the Club in
advance at 773-7629 for a reservation. Please be
prepared to provide your vessel LOA and power
requirements, if applicable. A transient slip that both
meets your requirements and provides the best
utilization of the transient slips will be reserved and
assigned to you.

Summer Dress Code
The summer season starts May 15th and ends October 15th.
During this period, Members/Guests and children can dress casually in appropriate summer club attire.
Dress, golf, polo, banded shirts, designer slacks, jeans and shorts are appropriate.
Unsuitable attire would include swimsuits, muscle shirts, t-shirts tank tops, short shorts and work clothing. Gentlemen please
remove your hat when in the CQ and Dining Room.
Thank you for your co-operation and please inform your guests of our Dress Code.

Introducing our new Chef,
Peyton Fadel
We would like to "welcome" our new Chef, Peyton! Peyton has been at the
Buffalo Launch Club for 10 years, and throughout his time at the BLC he has
worked as a dishwasher, busser, banquet server, line cook, Sous Chef and now as
our Chef! A lifelong resident of Grand Island, Peyton graduated from the Niagara
Falls Culinary Institute in 2017.
We could not be more excited for Peyton as he takes on this new responsibility here at the Club and we
are thrilled to have him and his passion for cooking behind the line. Peyton prides himself on the
presentation of his dishes and is excited to start trying new things at the Club! As we get into our busy
summer months we are very confident in the new changes that have been made in the kitchen and look
forward to a successful Summer here at the BLC!
EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!
Thank you Josh for all your hard work and dedication to
the kitchen this past month! We can wait to see what
delicious desserts you come up with next!
A NOTE FROM THE CQ
& BANQUET MANAGER
As Summer nears we are so excited to see many of our members
coming back into the club after what felt like a never ending winter!
Our goal is to make CQ a fun place to visit for all members whether
they are staying in the basin or commuting from home.
We have implemented a few themed nights for the month of May
in hopes of attracting business in the CQ. Tequila Tuesdays will
feature margarita specials, flights of tequila and other drink specials
which will pair nicely with our vegetable quesadilla or tacos that are
on our Spring Menu.
We will also have Trivia Nights again, so we hope to see many
members in the CQ, especially as the weather gets nice and we can
use our patio! I would also like to thank all the families who have
been participating in our themed Family Nights! It has been so great
to see so many kids and families enjoying a fun night in the banquet
room. Stay tuned for what's to come this Summer!
In other news, the Club has been very fortunate to be pretty well
booked with small events throughout the summer months! We are
excited for a busy summer of baby showers, bridal showers,
graduation parties, and even a few larger weddings. Please feel
free to contact me if you or someone you know is looking to host
an event at the BLC, we would love to add them to our calendar!

YOUTH SWIM LESSONS
We know everyone has been anxiously awaiting
our announcement of youth swim lessons, but we
are awaiting our lifeguard availability.
We hope to start lessons in late June/ early July,
and will be sure to send out an announcement
APRIL FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT! once we can confirm all of the details.
On Friday April 23rd we hosted a movie night for the youngest members
of the BLC. There was an ice cream and popcorn bar and the kids If you are interested in enrolling your kids/grand
