World Triathlon Pre-event Covid-19 Screening Process

As has been communicated to everyone at the beginning of the season, all athletes along with the
support staff applying for accreditation to a World Triathlon or Continental Triathlon event must
respect the following pre-event Covid-19 screening conditions (as a minimum):
   ● Fill in the online pre-event questionnaire.
   ● Perform an Antigenic or PCR swab pre-travel test 72 hours before the athletes’ travel to the
event or no later than 6 days before the event for local athletes/team support and NTOs. Tests
     that must currently be taken to gain entry to a country are valid as pre-travel tests;
   ● All athletes must submit a pre-travel medical certificate through the World Triathlon
registration system according to the specifications listed in the World Triathlon COVID-19
     guidelines;
   ● World Triathlon has developed an online tool for the World Triathlon pre-event Covid-19
screening process. Please follow the instructions below based on your role at the event to learn

10. COVID-19 Measures for Athletes and Coaches

   1. Travel
                                                      17
Currently, Mexico doesn’t have any air travel restrictions from any country, although the
airlines’ operations are far from being full-fledged. Tourists from anywhere in the world can
visit Mexico now without going into mandatory quarantine or having to take any COVID
diagnostic test. There aren’t any rules defying travel by train or ship either.
Since June 1, the country has introduced a spotlight system which saw the reopening of several
states in Mexico in phases. Places flagged as red allow only essential activities, whereas
restaurants, hotels, and other non-essential activities are open in a limited capacity in the
orange zones. Tourist hotspots such as Mayan Riviera, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta lie in the
orange zone. Hotels and resorts are operating at a maximum occupancy of 30% instead of the
commonly witnessed 85% in the pre-COVID days.

COVID Coordinator: For any question related with COVID restrictions and travel details please
    contact Paulina Sanchez paulina.sanchez@asdeporte.com .

2. Airport transfers

    During the transfer everyone must:
- Keep face mask on every moment
- All the transfer units must be sanitized prior each transfer
- Windows open instead air conditioner
- No stops allowed until final destination
- Recommended to keep silence during rides
- Keep at least 1 seat clear between each person
- The transfer between persons who do not belong to the same delegation or group of persons
will be reduced as much as possible.

3. Accommodation
   https://asdeporte.com/evento/triatlon-astri-huatulco-2021-mxvs/hospedaje
Check with each hotel the restrictions.

4. Training sites
Athletes are recommended to keep distance during running sessions and during their session
in the swimming pool. Overall recommendation is to try to have those sessions in the
   morning to avoid peak times.
