With an upscale design and plenty of creature comforts/technologies, the 2021 MINI
Countryman is primed for excursions both on city streets and off-road trails. With so
many versions of this subcompact SUV, though, how do you know which one is right
for you?
We’ll help you decide with this detailed Buyer’s Guide to the MINI Countryman Models.
In it, we’ll cover the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. You’ll see

COOPER COUNTRYMAN ALL4
First in the lineup is the MINI Cooper Countryman that comes in front-wheel drive or
an optional ALL4 all-wheel drive system.
Both vehicles come with a 1.5L TwinPower Turbo 3-cylinder engine that churns out
134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. As you cruise down the road, you can stretch
out and relax thanks to the following interior dimensions.
Front headroom/legroom: 39.9 inches/40.4 inches
Rear headroom/legroom: 37.5 inches/37.6 inches
Furthermore, these models are available in three trim levels, each with an impressive
array of features.
CLASSIC
This is where you’ll find a 6.5-inch media system with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio for
hours of entertainment. You’ll also find high-tech features that help keep you safe.
Thanks to the Active Driving Assistant, you can have peace of mind driving anywhere

If it starts to get a little chilly, just turn on the heated front seats. They’ll be sure to feel

comes standard and includes voice activation with natural language understanding
along with concierge services.
Plus, thanks to the MINI Head-Up Display, vital information will pop up on the

COOPER S COUNTRYMAN ALL4
Next up is the MINI Cooper S Countryman. Like the MINI Cooper, this model comes in
front-wheel drive or the available ALL4 system for optimal traction on any road surface.
The vehicle gets a bit of a bump up in performance thanks to a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo
4-cylinder engine. With 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, city or highway traveling
will be a breeze. Plus, the engine is mated to a 7-speed sport dual-clutch transmission that
offers the ease of an automatic with the sporty feel of a manual.
These models are also like those previously mentioned in that they come in the same
three trim levels.
CLASSIC
Carbon Black Sensatec upholstery adorns the cabin of the Cooper S Countryman
Classic trim. Take a seat up front and grab onto the leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering
wheel. The LED headlights and taillights will help you see and be seen better at night.
Like all the previously mentioned trim levels, this one provides 17.6 cubic feet of cargo
space when all the seats are upright. For maximum cargo room, fold down the back
row to have 47.6 cubic feet at your disposal.
The finer details of this vehicle are hard to ignore, like the white bonnet stripes on the
outside and Hazy Grey surface on the inside.

Then there’s the Signature trim that offers your choice of 6.5-inch or 8.8-inch display
screen. Plus, it comes with the Driver Assistance Package that includes features like:

Then there’s the John Cooper Works Countryman (JCW). Unlike the previously
mentioned models, this one only comes in all-wheel drive.
It’s also the most powerful model with a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine that
delivers 301 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to Valvetronic direct injection,
you’ll have a faster motor that can go from 0 to 60 MPH in just 6.6 seconds.
Again, you’ll have three trim levels to choose from, ensuring you’ll have a version that
matches your lifestyle perfectly.
CLASSIC
This base trim of the John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 comes with plenty of
impressive features, such as the aforementioned heated front seats. There’s also a
panorama roof that provides a welcoming cool breeze and sunshine on a nice day.
A rear camera and parking sensors come standard, too. That way, you’ll have a clear
view of your surroundings when pulling out of a driveway or parking spot. If any
obstacles are in the way, you’ll be alerted to help prevent a collision.

SIGNATURE
With the JCW Signature trim, dual-zone automatic climate control comes standard.
This feature allows the driver and front passenger to adjust individual temperature
controls. So, if you need to cool down while your copilot wants to warm up, you can
both be comfortable inside the Countryman.
You’ll find unique design elements inside this automobile, such as roof and mirror
cap colors in black, white, or whichever body color you’ve chosen for your JCW
