PROJECT X THEATRE IS HOLDING
GENERAL AUDITIONS FOR X FEST 2019
& THE RIVERTOWN PLAYERS!
Project X Theatre is seeking submissions from actors and musicians for their upcoming 2019 season. The
company is casting for roles in both 2019 X Fest productions as well as for The Rivertown Players (a
partnership with the Kamloops Arts Council). All auditions will be considered for both X Fest shows and
The Rivertown Players, unless performers indicate otherwise.

Project X is committed to diverse, inclusive casting and will consider all submissions, without regard to
age, disability, ethno-cultural identity, or gender.

X Fest 2019 will once again feature two family-friendly classic stories with modern twists.

Actors will be engaged under professional contracts, either part-time (1 show) or full-time (both shows or
Rivertown Players). Members of CAEA will only be considered for X Fest and will be engaged under a
D.O.T. Agreement.

Casting in The Rivertown Players is contingent on the Kamloops Arts Council receiving Canada Summer
Jobs funding. New Rules This Year: All Canadian citizens or landed immigrants under 30 years of age are
eligible for Canada Summer Jobs funded employment positions, whether they are in school or not.

Successful audition applicants are asked to prepare:
   • A scene from SHOW #1 (Provided with audition confirmation)
   • A song (2min in length). An accompanist will be provided, please bring music for them.
   • For performers who play instruments, please bring a piece to play (No longer than 2min)
   • For SHOW #2 you’ll be asked to improvise a scene with a provided rod/bunkaru style puppet.

Auditions: Saturday, March 2, 2019
Location: Classroom at the TRU Actors Workshop Theatre (Old Main Building)
*If this timing or location does not work for you, video auditions will also be accepted.
