Cicero is a boy who lives on an island full of nature, and fills the pages of his childhood
with many small daily adventures. His best friend is a little girl named Zita. Both children
almost every day go and see a whale that is beautiful like a queen, and listen to the sea
and then admire a tree full of oranges, in sleepwalker nights. Around Cicero there is a
sample of lives, smiles, affections and pains. Unbelievable and very human characters,
that are strange but difficult to leave. A story that begins and ends with a departure,
because like a journey is our life.
Antonio Ferrara was born in Portici (Naples) in 1957 and lives in
Novara. He has worked for a few years in a housing community for
minors, now holds of illustration and creative writing workshops
"about emotions" in schools, libraries, bookstores, prisons, cultural
associations and hospitals.

Teresa Porcella, born in Cagliari in 1965, she graduated with honors in
Philosophy in Florence, where she currently lives. For many years she has
been dealing with children's books both as a reader, author, designer and
freelance editor. In 2005 she founded the Associazione Scioglilibro, of
which she is president, aimed at promoting reading, and bringing together
children and adults around books. For years she has been involved in
training, workshops, reading and shows in festivals, schools, libraries and
libraries throughout Italy. In 2011 she established "Cuccumeo" in Florence
- a bookshop for children, but not forbidden to adults - where she can put
together all her passions for books.
Ignazio Fulghesu - After finishing his studies at the European Institute of
Design in Cagliari, Ignazio Fulghesu started to work on graphic design and
illustration. He takes care of the image of the festival of children's
literature “Tuttestorie” and that of “Isola delle Storie”, literary festival of
Gavoi (Nuoro) .

Gabriele Clima (Milan, 28 May 1967) is an Italian writer he is the author
of many books for different age groups, books for early childhood,
illustrated books, fiction for early readers and novels for young adults, His
stories touch on issues such as discomfort, diversity, the difficulty of
growing up, relationships, interculture, integration. His books have been
translated into fifteen languages. His novel The sun between the fingers,
published by San Paolo Edizioni, received the 2017 Andersen Prize as
best book over 15 years.
Cristiana Cerretti graduated in illustration at the European Institute of
Design in Rome in 1996 and since then I have illustrated more than forty
books for children and young people. In the last five years she has taught
Illustration at the Roman Academy of Arts and New Technologies

Professor Ulysses is a scientist and a traveler who will guide young readers by offering
advice on behavior and useful information in case of an emergency.
Each chapter will address natural phenomena - including volcanic eruptions,
earthquakes, fires and floods. A short mythological tale will remind readers how our
ancestors sought to explain the forces of nature. Each phenomenon is scientifically
descibed with behavior rules to face it.
Bernardo “Dino” Ticli is a teacher and a writer. He lives in Lecco, where he teaches
science in a high school. He consultant for a natural history museum. Since 1986, he
has written lyrics for boys. His production ranges from novels, theatrical texts, to
scientific divulgation, works for which he has received several awards and prizes. He
has participated in numerous childhood literature festivals and holds meetings and
conferences throughout Italy.
Enrico Macchiavello (Genoa, 1974) is an Italian animator, artist and illustrator, especially
known for his Ceres beer spots. He is a designer and animator, who works artistically and
professionally at the Chiavari School of Music and at the Ligus Academy of Fine Arts in
Genoa. Along with Gregorio Giannotta, Silvano Galif and Leonardo Montaruli is a founding
member of La Fantomatica, a company that provides graphic services and products for
various media, such as publishing, web and broadcasting.
In 2000, he got the Andersen Award for the best multimedia product for kids. He sets up
stage design and participates in exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. He also creates graphics
and animations for multimedia CDs and websites.
