Ph.D.The EEB (Zero Energy Buildings in Smart Urban Districts) project aims to pursue the increase the energy efficiency in buildings, and then of urban districts, through the pervasive use of technologies for the real-time monitoring and control of environmental parameters and of the energy production/consumption by means of smart devices. Collected information were be delivered to distributed and remote platforms through a suitable communication and data management infrastructure. Suitable web services were then be used to offer this data to applications used by both final users and providers. The infrastructure is supposed to allow for the interoperability among devices over heterogeneous networks to facilitate the interaction between the Smart Buildings inside a Smart-District.

Main Objective
Multi-Criteria Spatial Decision Support System for urban energy planning in
the built environment
The Ph.D. research focuses on the problem of ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF THE BUILDING STOCK in the urban environment,
using GIS TO MAP ENERGY CONSUMPTION. The aim of the project is to explore ENERGY CONSUMPTION PATTERNS based
on STATISTICAL-ENGINEERING methods to provide a methodology for evaluating different saving scenarios based on
multi-criteria analysis in the context of policy implementation to promote effective and sustainable urban planning. This fact
can help to assess, over a mid to long term period, the mix of measures by analyzing meaningful scenarios focused on
ENERGY CONSUMPTIONS/ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS/ ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CRITERIA. The RESULT is able to be used
to VISUALIZE INTERACTIVELY BY STAKEHOLDERS and explore a range of possible futures for assisting urban planners, policy
makers and built environment stakeholders in their efforts to plan, design and manage LOW_CARBON CITIES.Use charts to explain your ideas
