Hairstylist - Battlefords Campus
I had the best training and the best program!

I found myself in the hairstylist program. We had a chance to practice
everything from customer service to hair services to esthetics so when I
                                                                                         Work experience
graduated I was ready for a job. I have friends that live in other provinces opportunites
who attend the same kind of program and I feel that I have learned more.
I found a job right away. I recommend North West College to everyone.

Stepping Stones to Success
Many adults who did not complete a high school program have continued to learn through a
variety of experiences encountered in everyday life. The purpose of the GED testing program is
to provide an opportunity for these individuals to have their learning evaluated and recognized
and used for work or post secondary studies. Although the GED test represents less of a time
commitment than a high school diploma, it’s not academically easier. The test is graded on an
equivalency scale compared to current high school students. Prepare for and write the GED with

Brittany Meirs to run a business:
      I wanted a lifelong career. I knew • Budgeting • Customer Service
I wanted to be in a trade so I had • Management • Business Plan Preparation
a look at the college’s website • Timetabling • Basic Accounting
and they had a wide variety of
      programs. I chose the electrician
program. Most of the course was
hands on so it made it very easy
for you to go into a job afterwards.
      I would definitely recommend the
      Electrician program at the North
      West College. It was great!
It’s a new start to life! All
my family is located in North
Battleford so I really didn’t want
to have to move. It worked
well for me having a program
right here in town. I received
two scholarships for a total of
      $3,000. I received the Viterra
      Sask Innovation and Opportunity
      Scholarship and the North West
      College Canada 150 Scholarship.
      The scholarships really made me
feel like all my hard work paid off.
