 Riverside Marine Gladstone (2011 - 2015)
Riverside Marine Gladstone commenced in May 2011
providing a passenger ferry service between Gladstone
and Curtis Island for Bechtel Inc, the contractors
building the QCLNG gas plant. This business was
contracted to transfer around 1000 passengers a day
between Curtis Island and the mainland.

The four year contract for Bechtel required us to build
three new fast ferries which were delivered in 2012.

Remote area freight handling and logistics

               Gulf Freight Services (1987 - 2003)
Gulf Freight Services (GFS) provided a fully integrated supply chain
from receipt to delivery of goods primarily for Comalco, Weipa and
including the communities of Mornington Island and Aurukun.

The role included management of land, sea and air transport to
ensure safe and timely delivery of all freight.

GFS owned a fleet of vessels specifically designed or purchased to
operate in the unique waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria and across
the top of Northern Territory. This business was sold in 2003
                           to Perkins Shipping.

The business structure was lean and encouraged full ownership
of all employees and partnerships involved in the day to day
operations which assisted in providing a high quality service.
For seventeen years we operated in this environment and
thoroughly understand the challenges of North Queensland.

        Western Metals Transhipment (1997 - 2001)
Riverside Marine ran the transhipment operation
for Western Metals in the Port of Derby, WA for seven years.
We were integral in the marine design and construction of
the Western Challenge in Batam, Indonesia.
After commencement of the operation using our contractor
model on the vessel we were then requested to
run the wharf and loading facility.

The partnership crew proceeded to operate the
loading facility as well as the transhipment vessels which
allowed efficiencies for our clients and extra revenue
                           for the contractors.
