MANAGEMENT
The Fundamentals of Project Management is an
introductory course only and is not part of the
Project Management Certificate. This 24 hr course
maybe of interest for those who wish to gain a
general understanding of Project Management and
PMI® standards.

INSTRUCTIONAL SKILLS WORKSHOP (ISW)
The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is offered
within a small group setting (5–6 learners) and is
designed to enhance the teaching effectiveness of
both new and experienced educators. During the
24-hour workshop (usually offered over 4 days).
Learners design and conduct three “mini-lessons”
and receive verbal, written and video feedback
from each other. Using an intensive experiential
learning approach, the workshop encourages
reflection and examination of one’s teaching
practices with feedback focused on the learning
process rather than on the content of the lesson.
Learners receive a certificate recognized by many
international institutions.

HUMAN RESOURCE INFORMATION

This course is designed to provide learners with
an introduction to the use of human resource
information systems (HRIS). Emphasis is on the
practical aspects of how technologies, such as
internet, intranet and web-based applications
influence the administration of human resource
activities designed to attract and retain valuable
employees and to add value to an
organization.

INTRODUCTION TO MONEY AND BANKING
Learners are introduced to the role of money and
banks in contemporary economies with a focus
on the local banking context including the money
creation process, the evolvement of the licensing
of banks, central banking, and international
transactions.
