Small Business Debt Relief
The CARES Act provided $17 billion in funding for debt relief of small businesses. The SBA will
pay six months of principal, interest, and associated fees for 7(a), 504, and Microloans. New
7(a), 504, and Microloans that are disbursed before September 27, 2020, are also eligible for
debt relief.

Borrowers do not need to apply for assistance. If you have a 7(a), 504, or Microloan, the SBA
will make a payment to your lender. If you made a payment on your loan after March 27, 2020,
your lender was supposed to return your payment or let you pay the loan to reduce debt on
top of the SBA’s payment. Find out more at: https://tinyurl.com/sba-debt-relief
