Teachers as Researchers
Reflecting on our practice
Stop! Breathe… Reflect.
Take time out of the working week to reflect on your teaching across the
academic year. This workshop is a chance to take a step back from the day-to-
day routine of teaching and relish time as a ‘reflective-practitioner’. As a part
of this workshop, you will have the chance to write, share and collaborate with
other teachers and pave the way for the next steps in your teaching practice.
The workshop is suitable for both Primary and Secondary phase including
both Teaching and Associate staff. It is the ideal opportunity for people to
complete a small scale inquiry in to their teaching practice in order to enhance
and develop their own practice or perhaps contribute to other ongoing
Qualifications which you have undertaken. From the workshop, you may even
plan, write and publish your work in the next issue of Innovate Journal.
The workshop will be delivered by Meera Chudusama who is the Editor of
Innovate Journal and has achieved a Masters in Teaching, at the Institute of
Education (UCL). From this qualification she has gained valuable and current
experience in the field of Educational Research.
