Locost racing is one of the UK’s most successful forms of club motorsport, with grids regularly exceeding 40 cars
year-in, year-out with ultra-close slip-streaming race action. All are built to the same Ron Champion ‘Build Your Own
Sports Car’ book design, using a 1.3-litre Ford engine with control camshaft and modifications limited to a re-bore
and basic ‘blue-printing’. Yokohama A539 control tyres are extremely affordable and easily last a whole season of
competition.
