Crothall Healthcare 2016 Be-A-Star Program
Dear Crothall Healthcare team,

Starting in FY16, Crothall will be joining our other Compass sectors and sister company
Morrison Healthcare in recognizing our managers and their teams through Be-A-Star (BAS). This
system allows our hard-working teams to fulfill their former President’s Council criteria as one
(1) of three (3) Stars. The other two (2) Stars will allow managers to first complete requirements
for and then enter two well-established Compass competitions: the Five Jewel and Compass in
the Community Awards.

The theme of this year’s Be-A-Star program is Leading the Field: Greatness Grows Here.
While there may be a reference to food in this theme, I think we can all relate to Leadership
and Growth for Our People.

I look forward to celebrating our first year of accomplishments and seeing you work toward
achieving our new standard of excellence as a “Three-Star Account,” meaning you have
completed all of the Achievements laid out in our BAS program!

The final wrap up will occur in Period 9 as we look at your financial scorecards. This will be
new for most of our Crothall managers—mark your calendars for July 15 and be sure your
finances are in order!

There are three levels of awards as a result of completing all three Stars by July 15. You can be
honored as a:

1. Platinum Account: every team that completes all achievements in the three Stars.

2. Platinum-Plus Account: for EVS and PT teams that in additon to completing
       three Stars also meets budget.
3. Regional (RVP) BAS Account of the Year: teams that qualify will be ranked and each
regional vice president will select one BAS Account of the Year to honor.
4. BAS Account of the Year: from that pool of Regional (RVP) BAS accounts of the Year,
each of five (5) Operating Divisions will select one (1) Account of the Year to attend the
Compass Night of Stars in Orlando.

I hope you are as excited as I am about joining other Compass divisions in their competition for
excellence. I have every confidence that you are prepared for success and will represent
Crothall well in the coming year.

Sincerely,

Bobby Kutteh
CEO

Diversityis the presence of differences that make each person unique that can be used to

of diversity*, however diversity is simply what makes you…you.

Inclusionis the full engagement and development of all associates. Inclusion is what makes our
diversity matter. Inclusion fuels creativity, allows us to attract and retain a highly skilled
workforce, and helps us to deliver positive business results.

Dimensions of Diversity

Diversity is the presence of differences that make each person unique that can be used to
differentiate groups and people from one another. Many think of gender, race, ethnicity and
age when they think of diversity, but there are various dimensions of diversity beyond those
that we can see. The following diagram visually depicts this concept quite well:

➢ Primary- makes up our personality
➢ Secondary - reflects our lifestyle choices
➢ Organizational - represents the roles we chose
   ➢ Cultural
               - reveals how we’re influenced by our cultural experiences

Remember, no one dimension is more important than the other. All aspects of diversity are
important and worth consideration.
