Welcome to the NWSS
       2020 Quarter 1 Dance Show!
2020 has been a difficult year for our world. An important
mandate for the NWSS Dance Program is to create meaningful
opportunities for our students to persevere and to express
themselves despite the challenges we all face. This year’s show is
a testament to the ability of our students to come together in the
spirit of creation and to find joy through the arts. We hope you
enjoy watching these dances as much as we enjoyed creating
them!

Dance 10 Presents “Dancing through the Decades”

Join our Dance 10 students as they twist, lock, break, and pop
through the 60s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s! These compositions
feature period correct moves and the songs that spawned them
in a fun journey through Rock, R&B, Hip Hop, and more!

Dance 12 Presents “After the Storm”

Can you maintain your true self even as the storm swirls around
you and the darkness closes in? When the storm is over, will you
still recognize the person in the mirror? Join our Dance 12
Students in collaboration with Photography 12 students as they
explore these themes in a presentation of video and live dance
compositions performed on the Massey Theatre stage and shot
on location throughout New Westminster.
