Chairperson’s message
Dear Industry Partners,
BioBiz is Singapore’s largest biosciences and bioengineering-themed
career fair. This year, we aim to focus our attention on four main
areas – healthcare, pharmaceuticals and CROs, diagnostics and
medical devices.
We invite you to be a part of this extravaganza for talent acquisition
– to meet promising talents looking for internship and job
opportunities and to promote your organisation through interactive
activities. Students will be looking for summer and semester
internships, while university students will be graduating in May and
seeking employment.
We look forward to your presence on Tuesday, 19 March 2019, from
11am to 6pm, at the National University of Singapore Shaw
Foundation Alumni House.

A. About the Attendees
BioBiz 2018 was attended by close to 550 students from
tertiary institutes across Singapore. The event was also
open to recent graduates and experienced individuals.
This year’s event has been moved from late May to mid-
March in line with company and student feedback. We
therefore expect a much higher turnout since most
students will still be looking to secure internship and full-
time positions before their exams and summer break.
BioBiz 2019 will be publicised to students from Singapore
universities and polytechnics from the disciplines of
study below (naming conventions may vary), through
online and offline channels.

E. Terms and Conditions
1. All bookings are to be completed online at
https://nus.edu/2rQJpTT.
2. Upon receipt of your booking, Biobiz will email you within 5
working days.
3. Networking spaces are sold on a “first come, first served” basis
and Biobiz reserves the right to decline any bookings submitted.
4. All package prices are based on a per day basis and subject to
7% GST.
5. Cancellations are to be made in writing, stating the reason(s) for
withdrawal. Organisations are required to compensate 100% of
the booking fee if the cancellation is made on or after 21 January
2019.
6. For companies based outside Singapore, final payment must be
made 30 days prior to the commencement date of the Biobiz
2019. All payments must be made via telegraphic transfer, with
all administration charges borne by your organisation.
7. BioBiz will collect data provided in the registration and will
disclose the information for purposes relating to BioBiz 2019 only.

F. Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do I need to bring for Biobiz 2019?
You may bring a maximum of one pull-up banner (not more
than 1m by 2m), brochures, internship/job listings, and
collaterals to be distributed to the attendees.
2. Can I build structures in the Open Networking Space areas?
No, unfortunately there will not be space to do so.
3. Can I bring more than three (3) staff members?
We encourage employers to have no more than three (3) staff
members at their networking spaces at any one time. This is to
ensure a pleasant and conducive environment for all employers
and to prevent overcrowding.
4. Wil there be storage space provided?
Employers may leave their belongings at their own networking
spaces. There will also be a rest area for employers. However,
these spaces are not under lock and key and so employers may
wish to pack light
5. Can I purchase additional lunch coupons?
Lunch coupons will not be on sale. Employers are encouraged to
patronise the cafe on Level 1 of Shaw Foundation Alumni House if
additional food is required.
6. Can I purchase additional parking coupons?
Due to limited parking lots available on campus, we are unable to
sell additional parking coupons.
