Health and Medtech - The New University
Hospital
The New University Hospital will be one of the largest hospitals in
Northern Europe, with 300,000 m2 of buildings and 9,000
employees. The completion of the hospital - an investment of
almost 7 billion Danish Kroner - is expected by 2019.
IT - Katrinebjerg
Katrinebjerg is Aarhus’ IT powerhouse, home to a unique cluster of-
and environment for IT development and innovation. Already, strong
cooperative ties exist between public and private research at
Katrinebjerg.
Aarhus University’s IT educational and research departments of
Aarhus University are located here.
Cleantech - Navitas
Navitas will house energy-related education, research, development
and businesses in Aarhus. The complex will house more than 2.000
students and 300 teachers, researchers and private entrepreneurs.
The vision for Navitas is to create an international icon for the
development and application of sustainable energy technology.

Preparation of operation of Aarhus LRT
• Two main tasks for Aarhus Letbane Drift I/S until 2017
• Finalizing a contract for the light rail operation - traffic and traffic
management. Is done by Midttrafik for ALD
• Establishing an infrastructure management organization responsible for
managing and maintaining the infrastructure.THE OPERATIONS TENDER • Negotiated EU tender process • First light rail operation tender in Denmark. No best practice in Denmark. • Much appreciated assistance from Skyss and Bybanen in Bergen.
