IS MY TICKET PURCHASE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
No. Prizes won are not taxable and therefore the ticket purchase cannot be
used as a tax deduction.

IF I WIN THE GRAND PRIZE SHOWHOME OR THE EARLY BIRD CANMORE VILLA,
DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN IT OR CAN I SELL IT?
Once the home is awarded to the winner, they do NOT have to live in it. Any
prize won can be sold if the winner wishes to do so.

HOW DO THE 50/50 AND 100 DAYS OF WINNING CASH CALENDAR ADD-ONS
WORK?
The 50/50 and 100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar Add-Ons do not have to
be ordered in conjunction with your Foothills Hospital Home Lottery ticket.
50/50 and 100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar tickets can be purchased
separately or added on to your Hospital Home Lottery ticket.

50/50 Add-On:
Single for $10, Five for $25 or Fifteen for $50. The 50/50 prize value will depend
on the nature of sales. A minimum $399,929 will be awarded, however, the
more 50/50 Add-Ons sold, the higher the value of the prize. The winner will
take half the jackpot and the Foothills Medical Centre will take half. The 50/50
Add-On ticket sales deadline is May 24, 2019, and the winner will be

100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar Add-On:
Single for $25, Three for $50 or Six for $75. There will be 1 cash prize of $50,000
on June 13, 2019, and 100 daily cash prizes of $3,000 from June 13, 2019 until
September 20, 2019. Total prize value of $350,000. The 100 Days of Winning
Cash Calendar Add-On ticket sales deadline is May 24, 2019.Winners will be
notified in writing and posted daily on the lottery website at
FoothillsHospitalHomeLottery.com beginning June 13, 2019.
ARE LOTTERY WINNINGS TAXABLE?
Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada. For
further details regarding the sale of such goods, please seek professional
counsel.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE MY PRIZE OR CAN I JUST TAKE THE CASH?
All prizes must be accepted as awarded. There are no cash substitutes unless
otherwise advertised.

IF I WIN A VACATION BUT CANNOT TRAVEL, CAN I GET THE CASH?
No, however, travel prizes ARE TRANSFERABLE, so you may give it to someone
else. Where applicable, airfare for vacation prizes is from the Calgary
International Airport.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CLAIM MY PRIZE?
All prize winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANNOT PICK UP MY PRIZE IN PERSON?
Arrangements may be made to have a prize shipped to you freight collect, or
if someone other than yourself will be claiming the prize on your behalf, you
must provide them with written and signed authorization along with your
original prize-winning letter you received from KPMG.

CAN SOMEONE WHO LIVES OUTSIDE ALBERTA OR OVERSEAS BUY A TICKET?
Tickets must be purchased within the province of Alberta. Tickets will be
mailed within the province of Alberta only. The lottery is intended for residents
of Alberta.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO PURCHASE A TICKET?
Persons must be 18 years of age to purchase a ticket and the name of a
person under 18 years of age may not be written on the ticket.
WHEN ARE THE DRAWS?
The VIP draw date is March 13, 2019.
The Bonus draw date is April 17, 2019.
The Early Bird draw date is May 23, 2019.*
The Final draws are June 4-12, 2019.
The 50/50 Add-On draw date is June 4, 2019.

The 100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar Add-On draw date is June 5, 2019.

*If all 152,000 tickets are sold prior to the Early Bird ticket sales deadline of
midnight, May 3, 2019, then all 5,160 prize draws will be completed by May
23, 2019. If tickets remain after the Early Bird deadline, then only the Early Bird
draw will be made on May 23, and the remainder of the prize draws will be
completed by June 12, 2019. The draws will be held at the office of KPMG
(3100, 205 – 5th Ave. SW) and are open to the public.

ARE THE PRIZES DONATED?
No. All prizes are purchased by the Calgary Health Trust using a tender
process.

HOW ARE THE WINNERS NOTIFIED?
The accountants of record, KPMG, will notify all winners in writing. The letter
explains what they have won and how to claim their prize. All the winners will
be published online at FoothillsHospitalHomeLottery.com on May 30 or June
20, 2019 following the applicable draw date.

IF I WIN, IS MY TICKET STILL IN FOR OTHER DRAWS?
Yes, after each draw, including the VIP, Bonus and Early Bird Draw, the winner
is recorded, and the ticket number goes back for the next draw.

HOW CAN MY CHANCES OF WINNING REALLY BE 1 in 30?
Each ticket is entered in the lottery for ALL draws. There are 5,160 prizes and
only 152,000 tickets available. 152,000 tickets / 5,160 draws equates to
approximately 1 chance in 30. Another way of looking at it is that there is a
prize for every 30 tickets sold.

HOW MUCH WILL THE HOSPITAL MAKE AND HOW WILL IT BE USED?
The projected profit of the Foothills Hospital Home Lottery is over $5.4 million.
The lottery website has a full proceeds page regarding proceeds information.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH MY PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU COLLECT?
The Calgary Health Trust respects your privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade
our contact lists. Personal information collected will be used to keep you
informed of our charitable work, funding needs and opportunities to volunteer
or give. In addition, we will use this information to fulfill ticket orders, provide
information on our future lotteries, contact prize winners and publicize the
names of prize winners. If you wish to be removed from our contact lists call 1-
888-541-5540.

WHY DO I HAVE MORE THAN ONE BROCHURE MAILED TO MY HOUSE?
If you are a previous buyer, you will have received a marketing brochure
providing an early opportunity to purchase tickets before public advertising
begins. If you have received more than one brochure specifically addressed
to you, this could be due to different names or different ways of recording the
address used when previously purchasing tickets. If you would like to
update/remove an address, please contact the lottery help line at 1-888-541-
5540.

ticket applications to be processed. Foothills Hospital Home Lottery tickets,
50/50 Add-On tickets and 100 Days of Winning Cash Calendar tickets will be
mailed separately.

PRIZE VALUES
Prize values shown are approximate retail values as of the date contracts
were negotiated with suppliers. Due to housing market fluctuations, the
market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or
charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual
market value at the time the prize is awarded. Prize values include applicable
taxes.

WHY ARE WE SELLING TICKETS AT ALL FOUR HOSPITAL SITES?
The Hospital Home Lottery is a fundraising event presented by the Calgary
Health Trust. The Calgary Health Trust raises money for each of the four
hospital sites (Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre, Rockyview
General Hospital, South Health Campus).
