Math Academic Coach

 ● Provide support to our Career Technical Education (CTE) instructors and
students with the mathematics specifically related to each program

 ● Collaboratively develop, align, and implement integrated lesson plans and
assessments with the CTE instructors that focus on developing mathematics
     skills related to their program

 ● Coordinate with CTE instructors, administration, and other student services
members to provide additional support to students, if needed

My goal is to help instructors prepare our students with the mathematics skills
needed to be successful in careers related to their program and/or entrance into
post secondary programs. Strong mathematics skills will enhance understanding
and mastery of CTE skills, and open up opportunities for advancement and
fulfillment in each student's chosen career.

 ● provide reading and writing support to our CTE instructors based on
their program specific content and their instructional goals

 ● collaboratively develop, align, and implement integrated lesson plans
and assessments with the CTE instructors that focus on developing
reading and writing skills related to their program

 ● provide support to our CTE instructors and students in the creation of
artifacts for the state required career portfolio

My goal is to help instructors prepare our students with the reading and
writing skills that will be needed in their future careers. All of our programs
are saturated in literacy and these skills are crucial for students to have
                               successful careers.

I facilitate our School to Career program which
includes Shadowing, Mentoring and Co-op. The goal
of our School to Career program is to provide students
with real world experiences in their chosen career.
Students who are interested in participating must have
excellent attendance and work ethic grades at both
DCTS and their sending school as well as no discipline
issues. If your child is interested in this opportunity,
please ask them to discuss it with their classroom
instructor.
