       As part of the initiative, E-Class Rooms are being
        established in 49 medical Colleges and in SGPGI
        Lucknow, which is a National Resource Centre(NRC).

          MoHFW
       The project is for managing and maintaining the Classroom
        Infrastructure for 5 years including provisioning of 2 manpower each.
       Present status of the Project:

         It has increased the capacity of the Institutes/Medical Colleges,
         as these are directly connected to the country wide network of
         50 Medical Colleges
         NMCN Scheme has enabled the medical Colleges/Institutes to
         access the Professionals and learners at various institutions for
         delivering and gaining knowledge through Tele-Education
         mode.

        As the Infrastructure in Medical Colleges/Institutes have
         been established, the institutes can demonstrate live
         surgery/Live Medical Procedures from Operation
         Theatre to the e-classroom by adding the only one or
         two equipment like camera in the OT.

         i) For Students for MBBS
        ii) Students perusing PG through and
         iii)continuous medical education for Doctors/Faculty

        ERNET India has imparted two days trainings at
         RRCs which has highly benefited the Senior level
         professionals and Nodal Officers and team
         identified by the institutes.
        Trainings programs for the Medical Colleges under
         all RRCs have already been completed.

        The dates for trainings in other RRCs are being
         finalized by RRCs in coordination with
         colleges/institutes.
        The Training program will cover the NMCN
         orientation, IT training, Process training and activity
         training.

         With additional one or two video equipment like

        Once the basic infrastructure is established, the contents
         generated would be edited and uploaded in the servers in
         NRC/Cloud in the near future.
        The present storage capacity available for the lectures about
         30T.
         Considering 10 Lectures session of 1 hr, storage available - 1
         year.
        By the time, the storage is exhausted, we need to upgrade the
         infrastructure and at the same time migrate to Clouds.

        The same infrastructure may be used for
         participations of the students in India to the lectures
         elsewhere in the country.
