Eastern States Wild Horse and Burro Event Schedule 2021
The BLM offers wild horses and burros for adoption or purchase at events throughout the year; these events include internet adoptions with
various pick up locations, in person satellite adoption events, and Extreme Makeover Events with the Mustang Heritage Foundation. Providing a
home for a wild horse or burro is a challenging and rewarding experience. For qualified individuals, this is a unique opportunity to care for, and
then own a symbol of American history. If you would like to adopt or purchase at any of these locations, applications will be available onsite, you
can also complete an application and mail to the appropriate office prior to the event.

Saturday Event: 8:00am - 1:00pm
Trainer Selections: Select animals available Friday at Noon and Saturday all remaining animals
10:00pm - 1:00pm.

1) Ewing, IL – 22295 Sheep Farm Road, Ewing, IL 62864
Directions: The facility is located approximately 20 miles south of Mt. Vernon, IL. Traveling south
on I-57, take Exit 77 for IL-154, and turn east onto IL-154 just briefly. At the stop, turn left (north)
onto IL-37. Go about 1 mile, and turn right (east) onto Ewing Rd. Continue for about 6 miles,
passing through the town of Ewing. Turn left (north) onto Sheep Farm Rd. and travel about 1-1/2
miles. There will be a fence line on the left. At the T-stop, turn left (north) onto Bobtail Rd, then left
again into the facility. Use these coordinates 38.097011,-88.742673.
2) Columbia, SC – 395 Oak Street, West Columbia, SC 29172
Directions: Get on I-77 S in Columbia, follow I-77 S to Fish Hatchery Rd in Cayce, take exit 1 from
I-77 S, and continue on Fish Hatchery Rd., take State Rd S-32-103 to Oak St in South Congaree,
continue onto Fish Hatchery Rd, turn right onto Pine Ridge Dr./State Rd S-32-103, continue to
follow State Rd S-32-103, turn left onto Pine St/State Rd S-32-1246 ,turn right onto Lady St, turn
right onto Oak St., arena on the right.
3) Milton, FL – Santa Rosa County Fairgrounds, 8604 Bobby Brown Road, Milton, FL 32583
Directions: I-10 E toward Tallahassee, take exit 31 for FL-87 toward Ft. Walton Beach/Navarre
Beach, turn left onto FL-87 N (signs for Blackwater River State Park), continue straight onto E
Milton Rd, turn right onto Bobby Brown Rd., turn left, destination will be on the left.
4) Springfield, OH – The Champions Center Expo, 4122 Laybourne Rd., Springfield, OH 45505
Directions: Stay on I-70 W, take exit 59 for OH-41/S Charleston, continue on Laybourne Rd. to
your destination in Springfield Township, turn right onto Laybourne Rd., turn right. Destination will
be on the left.
5) Waynesville, NC – Great Smoky Mountain Event Center, 758 Crabtree Road, Waynesville, NC

Directions: Get on I-240 W/US-70 W, continue on I-240 W., take I-40 W to Paragon Pkwy in
Clyde, take exit 105 from US-74 W, and follow Paragon Pkwy and Crabtree Rd to your destination
on the right.
6) Carthage, MO – Civil War Ranch, 11838 Civil War Rd., Carthage, MO 64836
Directions: Take the I49/US71 South, take exit 63 for M toward Missouri N, turn right onto Base
Line Blvd/Hwy M, and turn left onto Civil War Rd.

4Directions: Located on College Farm Road in Murray, KY, one mile west of the Five Points
intersection of 16th & Chestnut Streets and the Murray State University Campus. The Expo is
across the street from the Calloway County High School.
8) Cassopolis, MI – Red Horse Ranch, 64247 Library Rd., Cassopolis, MI 49031
Directions: Take M-60 W/South Broadway St. S, turn left on Library Rd.
9) Rainsville, AL – NE AL Agri Business Center, 1571 McCurdy Ave N, Rainsville, AL 35986
Directions: Continue on I-59 N, follow signs for Interstate 59 N/Gadsden, take exit 218 for AL-35
toward Fort Payne/Rainsville, continue on AL-35 N, turn left onto AL-35 N/Glenn Blvd SW/Pine
Ridge Rd SW, pass by Burger King (on the left in 0.3 mi), turn right onto Industrial Dr, turn left onto
Dilbeck Rd NE, turn right onto McCurdy Ave N turn left, turn right. Destination will be on the left.
10) Cassopolis, MI – Red Horse Ranch, 64247 Library Rd., Cassopolis, MI 49031
Directions: Take M-60 W/South Broadway St. S, turn left on Library Rd.
11) Windom, MN – Windom Arena, 1480 8th Ave, Windom, MN 56101
Directions: From 90, head north on US-71 N/3rd St. toward W Ashley St., continue to follow US-71
N, turn right to stay on US-71 N, pass by Casey's (on the left in 0.6 mi), turn left onto 13th St, turn
right onto 9th Ave., and the destination will be on the left.
12) Texarkana, AR – Four States Fair, 3700 E 50th St, Texarkana, AR 71854
Directions: Take I-49 N, take exit 35 for Arkansas Blvd toward Four States Fair Pkwy., take Four
States Fair Pkwy., turn left onto Arkansas Blvd., turn right at the 1st cross street onto Four States
Fair Pkwy., turn right onto E 46th St., turn left. Destination will be on the right.
13) Doswell, VA – The Meadow Event Park, 13191 Dawn Blvd, Doswell, VA 23047
Directions: Take I-95 N, take exit 98 for VA-30 toward Doswell, keep right at the fork, follow signs
for West Point/Kings Dominion and merge onto VA-30 E/Kings Dominion Blvd., continue on VA-30
E to your destination in Reedy Church, merge onto VA-30 E/Kings Dominion Blvd., continue to
follow VA-30 E, turn left onto State Fair Ln., turn left onto Backstretch Ln., destination on left.
14) Annville, PA – Shale Knoll Arena, 126 Sherk’s Church Rd., Annville, PA 17003
Directions: Traveling North on I-81, take exit 80 (Grantville exit). Go right one mile to the traffic
light. At light go left (22 East) approx. 3 1/2 miles. Go 50 yards past Janie's Place (sub shop - a
little brown building on right). Turn right on Mill Road. At stop sign turn right, then an immediate
left onto Sherk's Church Road. Go 1/3 mile, turn left at Macadam Lane.
15) West Bend, WI – Washington County Fair Park, 3000 HWY PV, West Bend, WI 53095
Directions: Take US-45 N, take exit 65 to merge onto Pleasant Valley Rd., continue on Pleasant
Valley Rd. Drive to Co Hwy P/Co Rd P in Jackson. Merge onto Pleasant Valley Rd., at the traffic
circle, take the 3rd exit onto Co Hwy P/Co Rd P. Destination is on the left.
16)Jackson, MS – Mississippi State Fairgrounds, 1207 Mississippi St, Jackson, MS 39202
Directions: Get on I-55 S, follow I-55 S to High St in Jackson, take exit 96B from I-55 S, keep left
to stay on I-55 S., use the 2nd from the right lane to take exit 96B toward State Capital, take
Greymont St to Mississippi St, use the left lane to merge onto High St, turn left onto Greymont St,
turn left onto Mississippi St. and destination will be on the right.
17) Wauseon, OH – Fulton County Fairgrounds, 8514 St. Rt. 108 Wauseon, OH 43567
Directions: Follow I-90 W to OH-108 N in Dover Township. Take exit 34 from I-90 W, continue on
OH-108 N, turn right onto OH-108 N, turn left, turn right at the 1st cross street, turn right.
Destination is on the left.
