PROJECT

The origin of this project called “ECO – CHALLENGE: YOUTH
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND ENVIRONMENTAL AND INTERCULTURAL
LEARNING FOR SUSTAINABILITY” can be found in a previous diagnosis
carried out by Auryn Association, where a need of fostering youth
entrepreneurship has been detected, from a perspective of sustainability
linked to the environment and the interculturality.

Facing the current deterioration of the environment, the challenge is that not
only individuals but also institutions act in a sustainable way. We need to
urgently acquire an ecological knowledge and behaviour that allow us to
develop our life styles without growing more than our limits. Being conscious
of that, we consider as essential, to promote the environmental and
intercultural education for a sustainable development. In turn, we have
detected and confirmed that, as official statistics have shown, it exists an
evident exodus of young people towards the city, producing a real rural
abandonment with a worrying depopulation. That is why this project is aimed
to give a response to this troublesome issue and give a strong value to the
potentialities of the rural areas, as opportunities for the youth that want to
undertake projects. Additionally, we have detected a lack of training for the
promotion of entrepreneurship and the creativity among youth workers, being
that fact one of the topics that we want to deal with in this project.

In this Project there participate 4 organizations with a wide experience in local
and European level work coming from France, Romania, Italy and Spain.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

This learning experience will take place in Brittany (France) during 6 days and
the topic will be “WAYS TOWARD THE SUSTAINABILITY”.

During this learning activity we will know different local entrepreneurs like
good practices al local level and strategies to promote the creativity,
innovation, sustainability. This learning activity will be an opportunity to
discover and discuss about the 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
and the way to promote and work with youth people about this topic in our
local youth work.

This learning activity will be useful to take know the "VIDE GRENIERS". The
participants will have the opportunity to live close different "vide greniers
experiences" like a good practice in sustainability.

Also this activity will be an opportunity to do an intercultural exchange
between the countries participants and break cultural topics and stereotypes.
During this learning activity will be develop a specific activity to disseminate
the Erasmus Plus Program between the local community. This activity will be
an Event to promote the sustainability with some local social and sustainability
entrepreneurs and will be an opportunity to organize an intercultural
exchange between the participants from different countries and the local
community.

Also, it is necessary to point out that we will use an active and participative
methodology inside the framework of non-formal education in which these
formative actions are involved, which will make this work easier. The informal
learning and the open learning spaces during the activity will be useful for the
participants.

The objectives of the "Learning experience - ECO CHALLENGE" are:

   To introduce the 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS in our
      youth work.
     To make an exchange of good practices in entrepreneurships
      experiences.
     To find strategies to promote between youth people the "Sustainability
      live style"
     To participate in a great Festival in the city of Rennes.
     To make know the "VIDE GRENIERS EXPERIENCES"
     To foster the intercultural learning.
     To make an activity to disseminate the Erasmus Plus Programme and
      the European Solidarity Corps in the local community.

From 15 th to 22th July 2019 (15 th and 22th travel days)

The “Learning Experience” activity will take place in two places, Rennes and
Dinan (France)

Participants profile:

 5 participants from each country.
    There is no age limit to participate, but the partners will have to
     prioritize the participation of youth people.
    Profile:
       - The national participant in the Job Shadowing experiences inside
          the Eco-Challenge project.
       - Some youth entrepreneur linked with the culture that be able to
          participate in the Event with music with his/her ability.
       - Youth workers with some experience in an European or association
          framework. (not people who lives their first experience like this)
       - People interested in live an intercultural experience.
       - People who want to know more about the creativity process and
          interested in a sustainable development.
       - People who want to know entrepreneurship experiences.

            INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
What to bring:

Personal things: Rain closed, towel and your personal hygiene items,
swimsuit, music instrument, paper and pen!

For the activity:

1/ Somethings to eat or drink from your country. (we have also a kitchen to
cook):)

2/ Somethings special to sell or give connected with social and sustainable
economy.

FINANCIAL AND TRAVEL COST

During the training course, all cost related to food & accommodation and
activities will be covered 100% by the hosting organization. The transportation
costs for the travelling from your organization’s location to Brittany (by the
cheapest means) will be reimbursed during the training course but, very
important, you have a maximum price. If you beat the maximum price you
must pay this part of the money.

These are the maximum price that we can reimburse per person:

    Spain: € 275
    Italy: € 275
    Romania: € 360

VERY IMPORTANT: for the reimbursement, we need all the original travel’s
tickets, plane (boarding pass), train, bus, no taxi. If you buy the tickets online
on the internet, we need too the email where is written the price of the ticket.
We will not pay the reimbursement If we don´t have your original travel
tickets, because the National Agency only reimburse the money if we have
the original tickets.
