May 10, 2014 ARC investigated alleged poisoning of dog by suspects
   landlord at suspects home – results: PARVO
June 4, 2014 impounded bully breed with fight wounds – results – Claimed
   by suspects with Craigslist acquisition story about rescuing dog from
   fighting the previous week. Issued citation.
June 10, 2014 ARC received a complaint about a dog adoption. The
   adopter received a dog on May 26, 2014. The suspects had come to her
   house with Miami County Dog Warden & Police in an attempt to reclaim
   the dog – results – PD noted it was a civil matter. Complainant made a
   conditions complaint.
June 11, 2014 ARC follows up on complaint at suspects home. Investigates
   Captain Saveadog Rescue on FaceBook.

   unregistered rescue operations.
June 11, 2014 ARC serves a search warrant at 113 Laura Avenue and
   removed 13 dogs.
June 12, 2014 Suspect makes PR request for copies of all complaints made
   against the address.

Anonymous “Flipping” complaint
Ms. Hughes would frequently "rescue" dogs from listings on Craigslist, in which dog owners
would advertise that they are no longer able to care for their pet, and are willing to give it up for
FREE, to someone who wants a pet and is able to nurture and care for it. Ms. Hughes would
represent herself as that person, claiming that she wants a family pet and can provide it a good
home. Ms. Hughes would then take possession of the animal, and advertise it for sale.
Samantha Hughes would frequently target these online advertisements, but ONLY the Free
ones, giving the same story to everybody. She would sometimes collect 3 to 5 animals for free in
a single day, and would basically shove them in a kennel until someone else came along,
thinking that this was a legitimate animal rescue, and would Pay anywhere from $40 to $250 to
"adopt" the animal. Ms. Hughes devised a very corrupt scheme to acquire as many animals for
Free as possible, and present an Appearance that she is indeed caring for these animals
properly and just being the good person who helps to find the animal a good home. In reality, the
animal had a better home while in the possession of the un-wanting owner, than it did once it was
acquired by Ms. Hughes. Over a number of years, Ms. Hughes has personally profited by an
unspecified amount in excess of $10,000+ from the exploitation of animals and by
misrepresenting herself and the undercover operation she runs. People also donate money to
Ms. Hughes organization, and by pocketing those funds constitutes Fraud on Ms. Hughes' end.

She was helping in her community and taking in the strays that you, from my understanding,
    never bothered to pick up! If that's her hard earned money going into them animals, what's it
    matter to you??/
Also just because the house looked bad on the outside, doesn't mean its that bad on the inside..
    its like judging a book by its cover!

June 26, 2014 Hughes files a Replevin Action against ARC in Common
   Pleas Court seeking return of animals.
June 27, 2014 Court hears motion for restraining order and return of
   animals. Overruled and reset.
June 29, 2014 Suspect Hughes posts a YouTube video of being served civil
   seizure notice taken with a cell phone in plain view.
June 29, 2014 Suspect Hughes posts a YouTube video of her speaking with
   staff at the ARC filmed clandestinely.

July 8, 2014 Civil seizure hearing and arraignment held. Court finds
   probable cause and forfeits animals to ARC unless $11,440.00 bond is
   posted. Hughes alleges Court does not have jurisdiction.
July 10, 2014 Hughes has a facebook rant.
July 14, 2014 Hugh starts YouCaring Fundraiser for legal fees and board.
   Raises a total of $75…
July 17, 2014 Replevin action is dismissed by agreement due to pending
   criminal case
July 26, 2014 Hughes emails shelter and expresses interest in adopting a
   dog “anonymously”.
July 28, 2014 Hughes files complaints on ARC and ARC DVM with Ohio
   Veterinary Licensing Board. OVMLB finds no merit.

Facebook Rant
Everyone can continue to watch the lies on tv or read them in news articles but my rights has a human being were
violated. . . lets clear some things up. . The two "complaints" on the property was me initiating service with ARC.
Next i did NOT make a plea at arraignment. . i asked for COMMON LAW JURISTICTION and also for The case
to be moved to supreme court or the case to be dismissed. THE MAGISTRATE TOOK IT UPON HERSELF
TO MAKE A PLEA INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO ME!! Violation of my rights. NEXT I knew nothing about the
hearing so i asked for legal council and was DENIED. Also against your rights!. . The reps of ARC LIED under
oath NUMEROUS TIMES. The video released is AFTER they trashed the house. *HINT* Dogs were in NONE of
the video!! They took ALMOST all my vet records. . But yet they told their Own vet that there was only ONE record
and that was for Lucy. ANOTHER LIE. The vet was NOT on the scene at the time of seizure and admitted to it..
They did NOT validate the warrant at all. The subject was changed everytime it was brought up. ALSO HELLO
pictures do NOT lie. . They are saying the ONLY thing they found "inhumane" about Bear (profile pic) is he had a
spot of hair missing from a HEALED hot spot. NOTHING wrong with Cheyenne. They are still convinced that
Duramax has been fought. has skin irratation and has upper respatory infection that they admitted he would have
caught when he was picked up a week prior. Roxie was supposedly INFESTED with fleas but the puppies had
none. . hmm. . NEWS FLASH. . if a mother dog has fleas. . the puppies will too! They stated that Bubbs skin
issues on his hind legs are BRAND NEW skin problems caused by urine burns.. . Funny part is he was like that
(actually worse) when we got him.!! Over half of his skin issue was gone away. Told them from the beginning that
Bayden had cancer. . but they are using it AGAINST me. Stating she needs "exploratory surgery".. to determine if
the mass on her stomach can be fixed. . Who puts an old dog into surgery just to EXPLORE? They are stating
that the ONLY two things wrong with Lucy are she had worms and had fly bites. . (she literally arrived june 7th
from florida where she was boarded for 3 weeks at a vet office). . . . . *To Be Continued*

Sovereign Citizens
 The overall movement is a loosely organized
 collection of groups, organizations and
 individuals who are adherents to a right-wing
 anarchist ideology that denies the legitimacy of
 almost every existing government body
 (Federal, state or local) in the United States.
 They claim to be seeking to “restore” the
 nation to a minimalist governmental state
 which has never actually existed.

Sovereign Citizens
A SC was engaged in a protracted legal battle in 2010 over having to
pay dog licensing fees. She filed a total of 10 sovereign documents in
court over a two month period then declared victory with the
prosecutor decided to drop the case due to the impact on the office.
Florida dog owner Donna Lee Wray fought a $25 fine over a $20 dog
license. In addition to the 10 SC documents, she filed more than 65
separate motions and pleadings. She later marketed her strategy as
“This is how you get out of taxes.”

Sovereign Citizens
 They will engage in extensive “paper terrorism”
 by filing frivolous lawsuits and PERSONAL
 liens against public officials, law enforcement
 officers, animal control officers and private
 citizens. They may not recognize the courts’
 authority over THEM; however, they will file
 plenty of court paperwork against YOU.
 Paper terrorism involves the use of fraudulent
 legal documents and filings, as well as the
 misuse of legitimate documents and filings, in
 order to intimidate, harass and coerce public
 officials, law enforcement officers and private
 citizens.

Sovereign Citizens
Alabama SC Robert Lawrence was shot & killed
in December 2014 by Dothan Police after they
were called to the Dothan City Animal Shelter.
Lawrence attempted to turn in a cat and refused
to show identification. He then identified himself
with a SC ID and claimed he was not bound by
federal, state or local laws. When police tried to
calm him down, he refused and was shot during
the arrest attempt. The officers were later cleared
and the Prosecutor said Lawrence had obvious
anger management issues and often expressed
anti-government views. Supporters portrayed him
as a “Good Samaritan trying to go a good deed,”
but dismissed the verbal, then physical altercation
that included a Taser deployment which ultimately
ended with deadly force.

September 30, 2014 Civil seizure order was upheld and dogs forfeited to
  the ARC. Motion to suppress was denied. Trial set for November 6.
October 2, 2014 Hughes contacts rescue to try and pull her dogs so she can
  get them back. Posts to facebook seeking “animal communicator” to
  connect with her dogs.
October 3, 2014 Hughes arrested for trespassing at ARC after trying to
  sneak in disguised to see dogs.
October 5, 2014 Hughes visits a rescue group and confronts employee
  about having one of the dogs.
October 5, 2014 ARC disgruntled ARC employee starts feeding Hughes
  information.
October 22, 2014 Hughes posts extensive rant on Facebook.

October 28, 2014 Cost for care in the case reaches $40,409.50.
October 29, 2014 Attorney files motion to be removed.
November 2, 2014 Hughes calls shelter a “Death Camp” after her forfeited
  Great Dane dies of cancer. Posts about her attorney being known for
  accepting bribes.
November 3, 2014 Hughes convicted in Vandalia Court for trespassing. $10
  fine, 30 days jail suspended, court costs $117.
November 13, 2014 Hearing. Hughes is taken into custody on $10K bond
  for violating court order against social media posts about the case.
  Attorney removed. New attorney appointed.
November 18, 2014 Hughes removed to Electronic Home Detention.
  Pregnant with Co-defendant’s child and brought lice into jail unit.

November 24, 2014 2nd Attorney files motion to be removed. 3rd Attorney
  retained.
November 24, 2014 Hughes locates DVM to review case. ARC locates
  disciplinary file on DVM. DVM decides not to review case.
December 3, 2014 Subpoena issued for Time Warner after additional
  information is posted about case.

January 3, 2015 Ohio Department of Agriculture receives complaints about
   the Director of ARC and an affiliated rescue group from “S.H.”
January 6, 2015 Posts on Toledo Craigslist seeking to locate dogs placed
   from the case.

Timeline of case
January 7, 2015 Search warrant executed at mothers home where Hughes
   was kept on EHD. Multiple weapons found in home. Family made
   comments consistent with SC movement. Laptop & cell phone seized.
   Paperwork showing officers names, addresses, personal information and
   copies of “manifesto” found.
January 22, 2015 Enters into plea agreement.

May 14, 2015 Anonymous complaint posted to internet complaint log
   alleging malfeasance during January search warrant.
May 21, 2015 Website sends takedown offer for $2500 to ARC Director for
   posts and another $2500 for YouTube video.
July 1, 2015 ARC launches Finding Rover, facial recognition app for locating
   lost pets. Samantha Hughes is first person to register and post pictures of
   her forfeited dogs as “lost”.

November 2015 Search warrants executed on laptop and cell phone yield no
   concrete evidence.
January 6, 2016 Laptop & Cell along with balance of items returned to
   Hughes.
March 31, 2016 Hughes and Arnold charged in domestic issue in Indiana.
April 22, 2016 Hughes and Arnold evicted from house in Indiana, same
   conditions. Hughes father files for custody of grand daughter.
