Eminem, also known as Marshal and slim shady
was born in October 17, 1972.
Formally known by many as Eminem (stylized
EMINƎM) is an American rapper, record
producer and actor staring in movies such as 8
mile, Shady Talez, Pauly Shore Is Dead and
Eminem: E.
Throughout his career he’s been given the title
of best selling artist in 2000 within the united
states, with five number one singles on the
Billboard Hot 100.
Eminem has produced multiple music videos
over the years, staring out under the name Slim
shady he began his career as a rapper in a rap
band D12.
He’s been making music ever since 1988
currently at the age of 44. He’s a father to three
children of a mother he has been married to
and divorced.
Eminem has produced music videos to go
alongside his music for most of his singles with
hits such as “The real slim shady”,
“Mockingbird” and “Lose yourself”.

Eminem’s songs all follow a narrative, where todays pop music may be sang
about happy days, problems or random things such as Donald Trump, Eminem
(Slim shady) follows narratives, “Mocking Bird”, “Till I Collapse”, “Not Afraid”
alongside many other singles all follow the story through his life, Mocking bird
focuses of his daughters, his divorce and his beginning as a solo artist, the
song Not Afraid was a song about his struggle with the music industry, loss of
friends and his overall current struggle.

Representation
Eminem has been represented in a
bad light for the majority of his career,
being the only white rapper amongst
the sea of black rappers was a
stressful time for him with media
coverage on everything he did, his life,
and his situation weather being
divorced, drug addiction or
depression.
He has however been represented in

some, a man that came from

rappers. He comes from a split,
poor family full of alcohol abuse
and drugs, he became a world

Media debates
Eminem has been a subject of debate ever since the beginning, being the only
white rapper of his time, writing songs about himself, his mind and his life
during a time of rapping about money, women and sex. Eminem has been a
