EWN SERIES
LIGHTING FIXTURES
EWN series lighting fixtures are ideal to properly light indoor and outdoor industrial
process areas, especially chemical and petrochemical ones, classified as Zone 2
(Gases), Zone 22 (Dusts).
The particular construction makes them, at the same time, structurally strong, resi-
stant, easy to handle and light compared to the traditional lighting fixtures in aluminum
alloy with type of protection Ex d.
Available in four sizes, EWN 60, 70, 80 and 100, along with the relevant electrical
equipment for discharge lamps with powers from 20W to 500W, EWN lighting fixtures
have a large housing for electrical apparatus, segregated from optical section, which
is able to allow a proper dissipation of the heat generated by the combined action of
ballast and lamp.

PRODUCT LINE DESCRIPTION
EWN series lighting fixtures are ideal to properly light indoor and outdoor industrial process areas, especially chemical
and petrochemical ones. Thanks to their features, they are able to show the best performances where the other lighting
fixtures denounce their own limits.
Having a copper-free aluminum body combined with a borosilicate glass optical, EWN lighting fixtures are able to unite
structural strength and resistance to chemically aggressive environments with a lighting efficiency and distribution opti-
mal for industrial process areas where both the lighting of on-walk-way and working surfaces (Horizontal Lux) and the
lighting of potential obstructions (Vertical Lux) are required. Furthermore, their construction makes them particularly
easy to handle and light when compared to the traditional lighting fixtures in aluminum alloy with type of protection Ex
d and same installed power.
The Ex nR (restricted briefing) mode of protection, obtained thanks to the use of special silicone gaskets, resistant to
aeging and wear, makes EWN series “Category 3” equipment, hence suitable for Zone 2 (Gases), Zona 22 (Dusts)
dangerous areas.
Available in four sizes, EWN 60, 70, 80 and 100, along with the relevant electrical equipment for discharge lamps with
powers from 20W to 500W.
Having a large housing for electrical apparatus, segregated from optical section, they allow a proper dissipation of the
heat generated by the combined action of ballast and lamp. The wide external surface keeps the surface temperature
below the limits of T3 Class even in installation areas with ambient temperatures of +50°C/+60°C.
Installation and ordinary maintenance are made easier thanks to the simple access to the inner parts of EWN lighting
fixtures. The fast opening of the electrical equipment housing is achieved with the use of a single closing screw opposi-
te to the hinge that keeps it secured to fixed part. In this way, the operator attending the set-up or the maintenance ope-
rations will be able to have both hands free without having to support any part of the fixture.

STANDARD ON MODEL EWN-100
The new standard layout, for only the EWN-100 model, provides the easy opening/closing
system.
This system, a plus with regards to competitors, has been designed to simplify the opening/closing
operations during maintenance, hence increasing safety. The locking system keeps in position the two
hinged body fixture parts allowing to operate in safety, even though in elevation, using only one hand
and a screwdriver. The second hand can be used to hold on to the platform/ladder with advantages in
terms of installation time and accidents prevention.
OPTICAL SECTION SUSPENSION CABLE - UPON REQUEST
The suspension cable has been designed in order to further increase the safety of
installation/maintenance, hence reducing the risk of accidents. The cable, with a function of “third
hand”, allows the maintenance personnel to carry out the necessary maintanance operations without
having to hold the globe, which remains suspended and attached to the fixture body.
This system is supplied upon request.
