Join us on this exclusive trip to Venice for its 58 International Art Exhibition “La Biennale di Venezia”.
Enjoy summer and art in Northern Italy and travel with other like-minded companions who share your passion
for contemporary three dimensional art!

The Venice Biennale is considered one of the most important and prestigious events on the international
contemporary arts calendar. It’s the oldest, largest and best-established biennale in the world, a
must-see that has been taking place once every two years in Venice, since 1895.
This trip offers specially designed guided tours with a focus on three-dimensional art by Biennale experts,
where interaction and exchanges are encouraged. Plus exclusive visits to the Venetian Palazzi to get to know
the artists and the makers of collateral exhibitions. It is a learning experience as much as a pleasure trip. The
group will be led by local Cultural managers who will give us some behind the scenes views on the difficulties
of organizing art events in such a unique city. Staying in the heart of the city in a quiet hotel and eating at local
restaurants, makes for a truly Venetian experience, with free time to wander at leisure and take it all in.

May You Live In Interesting Times - 58th International Art Exhibition
The 58th International Art Exhibition, titled May You Live In Interesting Times, will take place from 11 May to
24 November 2019. The title is a phrase of English invention that has long been mistakenly cited as an ancient
Chinese curse that invokes periods of uncertainty, crisis and turmoil; "interesting times", exactly as the ones
we live in today. The 58th Exhibition is curated by Ralph Rugoff, currently the director of the Hayward Gallery
in London. May You Live In Interesting Times will no doubt include artworks that reflect upon precarious
aspects of existence today, including different threats to key traditions, institutions and relationships of the
“post-war order.” More info: www.labiennale.org

Personal Structures
“Personal Structures” is a project aimed at introducing in writing, pictures and in exhibitions, a number of
international artists whom, for all their individuality, have much in common concerning their intentions. The
observation that even in the most distant corners of the world and independent of one another, closely related
artistic problems are being worked on, led to the idea of bringing several of these artists together. The goal is
to start a communication with and among the artists, and to offer them a forum. Personal Structures is held
during the Venice Biennale 2019 at the European Cultural Centre situated in four Venetian Palazzi in the city
centre and is organized by the GAA Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to heighten the awareness
about the more philosophical themes in contemporary art and to make these subjects more accessible to a
wider international audience. More info: www.personalstructures.org
