Invitation to the 13th International Chito-ryu Soke Cup in
Penticton B.C. Canada, 2019
To All International Representatives,
I hope this letter finds you and your families in good health.
I would like to sincerely invite you all to the 13th International Chito-ryu Soke Cup tournament in
Penticton B.C. Canada from Thursday July 25th to Monday July 29th, 2019. I believe this is a great
opportunity for everyone to further develop their skills and to create good long lasting friendships.
Chris Taneda Kyoshi and the Canadian Soke Cup committee are working tirelessly to make this a
successful tournament and a memorable experience for everyone. Therefore, please try your best to
support this event and encourage as many people as possible to attend. I am truly looking forward to
seeing you next year at this event.

It is my pleasure to invite the entire Chito-Ryu family to the

13 Chito-Ryu International Soke Cup in Penticton BC, Canada. I
am grateful to Soke for the support in being selected to host this prestigious event.
We plan on hosting a world class event at the Penticton Trade & Convention
Center in conjunction with our headquarters hotel the Penticton Lakeside Resort. We
look forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones through spirited and fair
competition.
Penticton is a bright, vibrant community located between two beautiful lakes and
surrounded by mountains on all sides at the south end of the Okanagan valley. We hope
that when you come for the Soke Cup in 2019 you will take some time before or after to
experience all that the spectacular Okanagan Valley has to offer. From world famous
wineries to our amazing beaches, golf courses and parks, there will be something for
everyone to enjoy.
I would like to personally thank you in advance for all those that will travel from
around the world to make this Soke Cup a success.

Cup, to help us prepare a great event for everyone who attends. Please forward this link to

Penticton Lakeside Resort
The headquarters hotel for the Soke Cup will be the Penticton Lakeside Resort. See
below for more information and amenities that the hotel has to offer. A block of rooms has
already been set aside. If you like you may reserve rooms starting today. Reservations may be
changed or canceled at any time. Cancellation deadline is 7 days before your arrival.

Everyone entering Canada by air must have an electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
This eTA must be associated to the passport you will use to enter Canada. If you will be
renewing your passport before coming to Canada for the Soke Cup please wait until you have
your new passport before acquiring your eTA. Some travel agencies will include the eTA for you
