                                                                                  Beyond (FAB) Showcase and the Tuff Tornado Run that raise funds
                                                                                  and the profile of public education in the Butler Community.

Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program

The staff, parents, and community of all K-4 schools in the BASD, as
well as the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, have come
together to help fight hunger. The Kid’s Weekend Backpack Program
is designed to assist students who may be in need of weekend food
supplies. Though it seems hard for most of us to imagine, many
students go home to a house with little or no food supplies. They may     Suggested food items for donation include: single-serving cereal,

The STEAM Room

Due to the generous

decade, The Golden
Tornado Scholastic
Foundation, Inc. has
spearheaded a Science,
Technology, Engineering,
Arts, and Math program
at the High School.

The STEAM Room is a leading facility of its type in the state. Students
in multiple classes utilize the room’s innovative technology such as
laser engravers and a 3D printer, which prepare students for the
quickly changing technological climate in which we live.

The STEAM Room is directly supported by the EITC Tax Credit
Program. If you are interested in helping the STEAM Room to grow
