Licensed By/ Ownership & Control:
This school is licensed by the State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, Division of Higher Education,
Higher Education Commission, Career School Licensing as a post-secondary vocational school with a primary
purpose of educating individuals for a professional job/career. The school is owned by NH Learning Solutions
Corporation, 14115 Farmington Road, Livonia, MI 48154. The President and CEO of the corporation is Mark
McManus and our COO is Scott McLean. The Nashua location’s Director of Admissions is Chris Clifford.
Accreditation:
New Horizons is not currently accredited.
General Description of Available Space, Equipment, and Facilities
New Horizons consists of 9 classrooms for instruction along with student break areas and administrative
space. Our total facility is in excess of 13,000 square feet in size. Within our classrooms are a total of 108 student
PC’s of varying configurations. Additionally we have 48 laptop computers and 12 LCD projectors. Each student in
our classrooms has a desk of between 42 and 48 inches in size and at least 1 19 inch LCD monitor. Several
classrooms employ dual 19 inch monitors for each student.
Our facility is served by 3 roof mounted HVAC units that are controlled by 3 thermostats placed in the
facility. These 3 thermostats are each fed data by 3 temperature sensors for a total of 9 sensors throughout the
building. Classrooms are lit by ceiling mounted fluorescent lighting.
The facility is completely handicap accessible as it is all on one floor. Restrooms have handicapped
accessible fixtures. We are inspected yearly by Simplex/Grinnel at which time they test all fire extinguishers (8) as
well as emergency exit signage. Our premises are monitored 24 hours per day by ADT security for fire and
unauthorized entry.
School Policies and ProceduresEntrance Requirements Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applicants must be a high school graduate or hold a GED. To enroll in a class please call 1-603-882-4900 or email us at info@nhnashua.com Credit for Previous Education or Training The school does not accept transfer credit nor allow credit for prior experience as the school does not grant credit. Because the school does not issue credit its classes will be of limited transferability to other institutions. Past coursework and life experience will be considered when making class placement and enrollment decisions. Standards for Satisfactory Progress/Grading New Horizons does not offer grades- all courses are Pass/Fail based on attendance and completion of course lab work. To receive a certificate of completion a student must attend at least 90% of a class or program as well as satisfactorily complete at least 90% of all course lab work and course modules. Students may request a copy of their transcript at any time and those requests will be processed within 5 business days of written receipt. Proof of identification may be required. Standards for Satisfactory Progress for Financial Aid Programs New Horizons does not offer Financial Aid. Tuition is the sole responsibility of the student. Scholarships New Horizons does not offer Scholarships. Academic Probation/ Academic Suspension or Termination Where New Horizons does not provide grades for class we do not have an academic probation policy or suspension/termination policy except as noted below for conduct reasons. Student Conduct and Conditions for Dismissal Any student not conducting themselves in an orderly and professional manner, which includes use of drugs and alcohol during school hours, dishonesty, disrupting classes, use of profanity, excessive tardiness, insubordination, violation of safety rules (including carrying unlicensed/illegal weapons) will lead to dismissal from classes and a refund of tuition paid. Re-entrance If a student is asked to leave for any reason listed above re-entrance will not be permitted. Attendance As stated above, to receive a certificate of completion a student must attend at least 90% of a class or program as well as satisfactorily complete at least 90% of all course lab work and course modules. Leave of Absences Students may request a leave of absence at any point during their studies. In order to receive a leave of absence a student must submit a written notice to the school explaining the reason they are not able to attend school. If a student fails to notify the school director of their leave of absence the student will be held to the standards discussed in the Attendance section. This includes possible dismissal for lack of attendance. Students wishing to return to classes after a leave of absence must contact the school director. The school director and student will both determine when and if the student will return to classes. Graduation Requirements New Horizons does not graduate students in the traditional sense. We only issue certificates of completion which are issued to students upon completion of the class as detailed on page 2 under the Attendance policy.
Student Records
All student records are maintained in accordance with State of NH statues. Transcripts of attendance can be
requested at any time by contacting the school in writing.
School Calendar
The following holidays are observed and no classes are held:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
Independence Day (July 4)
Labor Day (first Monday in September)
Thanksgiving Day/ Friday after Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November)
Christmas Day
The school reserves the right to amend the calendar.
The hours may vary depending on the class. Please refer to our website www.nhls.com for individual class details.
Enrollment Dates
A student may enroll at any time prior to the business day before the class start date. The school does not operate
on a quarterly or semester based calendar. Class start dates are ongoing. Please refer to our website for individual
class dates and times. Generally classes run from 9-5 daily.
Schedule of Fees
All class costs are listed on our web site at www.nhls.com. Class pricing includes all fees and courseware but does
NOT include any vendor certification exams costs.
Refund Policy
New Horizons’ corporate policy is that we guarantee a student’s satisfaction with our courses or we will issue
a complete and full refund to the paying entity. Our refund policy additionally complies with all state and
federal laws. All students whether VA or non-VA have the right to a 100% refund paid to the paying entity if
they are unsatisfied with their class.
Full Refund- The school's refund policy shall provide for a full refund of all money paid by the student if:
(a) The student withdraws from the program or course on or before the first day of instruction.
(b) The school procured the student's enrollment as the result of any false representations in the written materials
used by the school or in oral representations made by or on behalf of the school. (c) The student is unsatisfied
with the class.
Timely Refund Payments- Refunds shall be paid within 30 days after the effective date of termination.
Student Grievance Procedure
Any student who has a grievance with the school or an instructor should first discuss the problem with the
instructor or school director, Chris Clifford, who can be reached at 401-633-3215 or by emailing
Chris.Clifford@nhls.com. If a resolution is not reached, the student should make a written complaint and submit it
to the school director asking for a written response. When a satisfactory resolution of the problem is not obtained,

visit: http://www.education.nh.gov/highered/career/index.htm.Program/Course Requirements Due to the overall number of classes and the constant change in the IT industry we do not print a catalog of all classes- just selected ones. Therefore all relevant course information including descriptions, modality, cost and schedules are located on our web site at www.nhls.com. It should be noted some of these classes are added together to create ad hoc packages for clients. This is done on a case by case basis. All of our packages are merely collections of these individual classes. As New Horizons is not accredited we do not offer credit for classes taken elsewhere and we do not offer any type of graduation. New Horizons will evaluate past coursework and experience and take that into account when enrolling students which may result in a student being able to skip some classes in a program.
