RECREATION STAFF • Pine Trail Park - Construction is ongoing and this park is scheduled
to be open this summer. Project included construction of a new
Director of Parks & Recreation playground, shelter and amenities, with additional landscaping,
Kelly Rajzer pathways and security lighting.
Superintendent of Recreation • Project Lake Strini – This project has begun and will include:
Marissa Cardoni pathways, boardwalk along the east portion of the lake, sunning steps,
Superintendent of Parks fitness stations, pier improvements, fishing and wildlife enhancements
Robert Constantine and a bike repair station.
Manager of Revenue & • Ribbon cutting of the new Dog Park with the DCEO Grant - The

The Romeoville Recreation Center is a 60,000 square foot facility featuring two full court gymnasiums, various program
and meetings rooms, preschool classrooms, a gymnastics area, an indoor playground, senior and teen center, and the
Fit 4 Life Fitness Center. Gather your friends for a pickup game of basketball or volleyball, work out in the fitness center,
join in on a group fitness class, host a party in one of their private party rooms, or just lounge in one of its many quiet
seating areas. Whatever your interest or activity level there is plenty to do or not do! And, if you have little ones, you can
drop them off with the Recreation Center’s child care staff while you visit so they can romp around the Jungle Safari
Indoor Playground that features an anaconda slide, climbing ropes, and tunnels.

Northern Will County Special Recreation Association (NWCSRA) represents the
partnership between Bolingbrook Park District, Lockport Township Park District, Plainfield
Park District, the Village of Romeoville, Brookeridge Park District and Justice Park District.
Our mission is to provide meaningful recreation opportunities for individuals with
disabilities that enhance their overall quality of life.
INCLUSION SERVICES
NWCSRA works collaboratively with the park district to provide reasonable
accommodations to individuals with a disability who wish to participate in a program
through the park district. Individuals should be provided the opportunity to participate in
recreation programs of their choice in the least restrictive environment.

RIDER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Riders must call the Recreation Center to set up an account in Rec
Trac and get registered in our new system for Ride Around Town.
• Riders must read and sign the new COVID waiver the first time they
return to using the Ride Around Town service.
• Riders must be able to travel to and from their door to the vehicle
on their own and board the vehicle on their own. Drivers cannot
physically assist riders.
• Wheelchair users must be able to get on and off the ramp without
assistance from the driver. Drivers will lock down the chair only.
• Riders must handle their own personal bags and belongings during
pick-up and drop-off. Riders can carry on/off no more than 6 bags.
• Riders may not sit in the front row of the vehicle or in the front
passenger seat and must sit 6 feet from the driver and other riders.
• All riders who are not fully vaccinated, should wear a mask.
• For safety reasons, driver has the right to refuse to transport a rider
who is visibly sick.
• Only punch passes will be accepted for ride payment. Drivers are
not permitted to accept cash from riders.
• Payment options for purchasing a punch pass: credit card over the
phone, by calling the Recreation Department 815-886-6222, check
given to the driver in exchange for a punch pass, or in person at the
Recreation Center during open hours.
• Appointment availability will be limited due to additional time
needed to clean the vehicle in between riders.
• Appointments must be made 48 hours in advance by calling the
Recreation Department 815-886-6222. Voicemails messages
will not be accepted for appointments. Day of appointments will
not be allowed to be booked.
• Riders must be ready within 15 minutes of pickup time or pickup
will need to be rescheduled.
• Rides can only be made for essential trips i.e.; medical (routine),
grocery store, employment, hair. Rides cannot be booked
for doctor/hospital visits for a rider who is sick. The Recreation
Department reserves the right to deny any appointment to and
from a location that is not deemed essential.
• Seat belt must be worn at all times.
• The following is not allowed on the vehicles: eating, drinking,
standing while vehicle is moving, abusive language.
• Please do not leave any garbage on the bus, riders must take any
garbage with them.
• Riders are expected to be courteous to others.
• Riders 17 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian 18 years and older.
• Riders must call within 24 hours to cancel an appointment.

off to managing it and building self-worth! Through
