I have lived in Temecula since 1998 and growing up Summer Concert Series 4
in this community, I never pictured myself working for Movies in the Park 5
the City, but after nine years, I can’t imagine working 4th of July Fireworks 5
anywhere else. While pursuing my Bachelor’s in

Sociology at California State University San Marcos,
I decided to apply for an internship at the City of

Recreation Assistant for the Special Events team. Halloween Carnival 7
Little did I know, I would discover my passion for event planning and make a
career out of it. I look forward to coordinating annual events for the community to Specialized Programs
enjoy such as Movies in the Park, Halloween Carnival and Santa’s Electric Light Adopt a Park Program 35

of preschool teaching experience and an AA degree
in early child development I was able reach my goal Camps & Classes
and became employed at Pennypickle’s Workshop- Camps 8-11

staff and volunteer coordination, tours, history projects, and the gift shop. I Sports & Fitness 18-21
am grateful and honored to be given the opportunity to live in and serve the Visual Arts 23
community of Temecula. I invite you to come and check out the Temecula Valley Youth & Teen Enrichment 13-15
Museum for either an exhibit viewing, Second Saturday Celebration of Culture

PRESCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
The Community Services Department offers two Preschool/Kinder Enrichment
drop-off programs. Miss Michelle’s Tiny Tots and Bear Cub University.
These are structured recreational programs designed for children ages 3-5.
These are not licensed child care programs. Children must be potty trained
to attend. Participation in more than one session or more than one
program at a time is prohibited. Registration in advance for future sessions
is encouraged to secure enrollment. Once registration begins, participants
may enroll in Session A, B, C or D at one time provided the session dates
do not overlap. Priority is given to Temecula residents for the first 7 days of
registration. Please review program descriptions for detailed class information

Learn the beautiful and traditional folk dances of Mexico. Some dances require
