Press Release LAUNCH OF THE NOMINEE PHASE
April 2021 The privately funded FEDORA Prizes support
innovative opera, ballet, education and digital
projects that are still in the making.

The Nominees were selected by our expert juries and by over 25,000 votes during
the public voting phase.
As of April 1st, 15 nominated projects that will be produced by 60 collaborating
institutions from 15 countries, including over 90 artists will have the possibility to run
fundraising campaigns on the FEDORA Platform. Anyone can now donate as of €5
to back the projects on www.fedora-platform.com until June 4th.
The winners have been chosen by the jury and will be announced during our online
Award Night Ceremony on June 17th.

EDORA - The European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet is a non-profit organisation that was created in
Paris in January 2014 under the presidency of Jérôme-François Zieseniss.
FEDORA matches new cutting-edge artistic projects with funding opportunities to bring the unexpected to international
stages and audiences.
This is done through an annual privately funded competition that is devoted to nurturing innovation and creativity in
opera and ballet: the FEDORA Prizes.
FEDORA is committed to supporting and contributing to the future of opera and ballet by harnessing the digital shift to
showcase artistic works-in-progress on its European Platform (www.fedora-platform.com).
Together with its network of 95 cultural institutions as well as individual and corporate donors in 25 countries, FEDORA
encourages a sustainable environment for these art forms by advocating new complementary funding models and
capacity building in the performing arts. FEDORA advocates social inclusion and intercultural dialogues through opera
and ballet.
