2FIRMAGON® is a Gonadotropin Releasing
Hormone (GnRH) receptor blocker indicated
for the treatment of patients with prostate
cancer in whom androgen deprivation is
warranted1
Androgen deprivation, while effectively treating
prostate cancer, has both immediate and long
lasting consequences for patients, especially in
3 major areas2
- Quality of Life
- Bone Health
- Cardiovascular Health
FIRMAGON® significantly improves patient
outcomes while effectively controlling ADT-related
adverse events compared with LHRH agonists3
In patients with a history of CV disease,
FIRMAGON® significantly reduces CV events and
deaths after the first year of treatment compared
with LHRH agonists4
In patients with lower urinary tract symptoms
(IPSS≥13), FIRMAGON® provides significant,
clinically-meaningful symptom relief versus LHRH
agonists5
In patients needing neo-adjuvant hormonal
therapy prior to radiotherapy, FIRMAGON®
reduces prostate volume by 37% vs baseline over
the first 12 weeks of treatment6
In patients receiving Intermittent Androgen
Deprivation (IAD), FIRMAGON® controls PSA
as effectively as continuous ADT, with the added
benefit of allowing testosterone levels to recover7
