                  reverse with an element of chance thrown in. An experimental session combining printmaking
                  and stencil art techniques to produce unique, grungy printed posters.

                  wash and erase to produce layered drawings with natural objects as inspiration – leaves, rocks,

                  light and shadow, experiment with pressure.

                  Rawhide: Friday 28 September, 10am-noon, 12 + years. Use recycled leather cuts as a canvas.
                  Stamp, emboss, cut and stitch your way to a customised pieces of wearable art. Design your own
                  patterns and words on to something you can carry with you.

                  Reflections Masterclass: Tuesday 2 October, 10am-noon, 12 + years. Sharpen your drawing skills
                  while chilling on the banks of the river. Learn techniques in charcoal, pencil, pen and pastel.
                  Study the moving and flowing patterns on the water’s surface and learn how to capture
                  reflection and light in motion. Inspired by the work of exhibiting artist Simon Finn.

                  Ocean Animal Collographs: Wednesday 3 October, 10.30-11.30am, 6-8 years. Inspired by ocean
                  life, design your original collograph. An introduction to simple printmaking techniques where you
                  will discover how to use materials such as string to create a printing plate and series of relief prints.

                  Leather Designs: Wednesday 3 October, 1.30-3pm, 9-12 years. Using special tools and recycled
                  leather, learn how to stamp words, shapes, patterns and designs with accuracy.
                  Create your own scene or messages one tap at a time and turn your creation into wrist bands,
                  ankle straps or backpack tags.

                  Sculpted Faces: Thursday 4 October, 10.30-11.30am, 6-8 years. Construct a uniquely sculpted
                  face. Build a base, coat in silver foil and learn a simple embossing technique to reveal the
                  featured shapes.

                  Itching to Etch: Thursday 4 October, 1.30-3pm, 9-12 years. Carve, press and sculpt recycled
                  styrofoam sheets to make detailed ‘etching style’ plates to print on paper. Transfer your etched
                  design with coloured paint to make a series of paper prints.
