TAXES DUE AUGUST 1ST

The 2021-2022 Tax Bills were mailed on July 15,
2021, and are due August 1, 2021.
If you have recently paid off your mortgage and
receive an “Advice Copy Only” bill, please use that for
your payment even though it says “Do Not Pay”. There is often a lag in
recording at the County level and transmission of updates to the municipality
is delayed.
WHEN HOMEOWNERSHIP OF PROPERTY CHANGES, THIS TAX BILL
IS TO BE FORWARDED TO NEW OWNER(S) OR THEIR PAYING
                        AGENT.
Failure to receive a tax bill does NOT exempt homeowners from paying
taxes or accruing interest on any delinquencies. If a tax bill has not been
received or has been misplaced, please contact the Tax Collector or check the
balance of the taxes that are owed online. Click here for tax payment
information.
The Tax Collector’s Office allows for a ten (10) day grace period for the
payment of taxes. The payment date is the date the payment is received in the
tax collector’s office, not the postmarked date; NJ State Statute prohibits the
receipt of postmarked payments.
Any questions please call our office at 973-383-7025, Ext. #23.

PLEASE SLOW DOWN !!!
Studies show that the majority of speeding on local roads is done by drivers who
live in those neighborhoods. Modeling good behavior is often a surprisingly easy
and effective way to inspire it in others. When you drive in your neighborhood,
make sure you’re driving at the same safe speed you want others to go, and
encourage your friends and family to do the same. Driving more slowly literally
slows down the traffic behind it, and moving at a reasonable pace sends
everyone the message that this is a residential area, not a highway. Please
remember also to slow down for road construction workers, utility workers,
Fire, EMS and Emergency Vehicles - Slow Down, Move Over!
If you come upon flashing lights on the side of the
road, slow down, and if it’s safe, Move Over—away
from police, fire crews, EMS and tow truck drivers.
If you make the move, others will follow.
