What Research Says About Parent Involvement:
Students do better academically and socially when schools build
positive relationships with their families.

Students are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend
school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and
adapt well to school. National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education (2006)

The most accurate predictors of student achievement in school are not
the family income or social status, but the extent to which the family
creates a home environment that encourages learning, communicates
high, yet reasonable, expectations for the child’s achievement, and
becomes involved in the child’s education at school. National PTA. 2000 Building
Successful Partnerships.
How we do this with you at B-P:
Teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators will communicate with you on a
regular basis, and we welcome communication from you::

•Website, email, social media, newsletters, and phone calls

•Google classrooms and teacher websites

•X2 Aspen Student Management System (all-call, email, grade-reporting system)

•Parent nights (college, games, awards/ceremonies, fundraisers, advisory boards)

•Join our Parent Council or School Council for monthly meetings

●Try our Silver Platter Restaurant and/or Silver Shears Salon or shop in our School
 Store
We build trusting and respectful relationships
Parents and high-school teachers are on the same team in that
they both want children to succeed: academically, vocationally,
socially, and emotionally. We prepare your child to have options
after high school: college or careers.
