On Wednesday October 14th there was much dread, fear,
anticipation and excitement all being experienced within the
training room of the Hopetoun CRC.
The reason was Dave from Bob Coopers Snake Handling ON SALE 4TH NOVEMBER 2020
came to teach snake removal with an array of snakes
including Tiger Snakes, Dugites, Pythons and a Death Adder.
These were not pet snakes accustomed to being handled,
but the real deal caught a few days prior for the purpose of
the training.
Despite that, most of them were relatively placid but
fortunately Beau Shepherd, our local Shire Ranger popped
in to throw a newly caught, feisty Tiger Snake into the mix
which made the experience much more realistic!
This training was free thanks to the generosity of FQM as
part of their commitment to the community with the aim that
there will be many willing catchers in the region after also

The Shire of Ravensthorpe has an exciting opportunity for energetic and driven individual to join the
office of the Chief Executive Officer.
This Casual position is offered with flexible working hours that can be tailored around school hours if
required. The successful applicants must be highly motivated with a can do attitude, be team focused,
possess excellent problem solving, communication, organisational and time management skills. The
successful applicants must demonstrate experience in delivering high level administration services
and support with the ability to perform under pressure and have excellent computer skills that can be
strongly demonstrated.
As the Casual Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be required to attend
meetings and play a key role in preparing agendas and minutes while providing high level
administration services and support to the Chief Executive Officer.
This position will be required to work on projects for the Executive Team. This may include research,
grant applications, community events and a broad range of other duties as required.
A total salary package will be negotiated dependent on qualifications, skills and experience as per the
Ravensthorpe Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2020. The salary package offered will include up to
the following:
• Base salary offered from level 4/1 at $30.60 per hour up to level 4/3 at $32.64 per hour
• Casual Loading of 25% per hour
• Superannuation up to 14.5% including co-contributions
• Uniform allowance

• Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol; and
• National police clearance.

person to join our Cleaning Services Team as a casual relief cleaner.
As a casual relief cleaner you are required to undertake cleaning tasks at a high standard and
understands the requirements of confidentiality, hold a current national police clearance and
have your own transport.
A total salary package will be negotiated dependent on qualifications, skills and experience as
per the Ravensthorpe Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2020. The salary package offered will

Coordinator to join our Childcare Centre Team’s in Ravensthorpe.
This Full Time position is available with flexible working arrangements. The successful applicants must
be highly motivated, team focused, have excellent communication and organisational skills together

A total salary package will be negotiated dependent on qualifications, skills and educator experience

• Annual leave of 4 weeks per year with 17.5% leave loading;
